Job Description Summary
As a member of the GE Renewable Energy – Hydro Solutions Quality Assurance team, Reliability and Analytics Manager is responsible to ensure reliability during the NPI / NTI and ITO / OTR gate review process through defined tasks.
This involves design supportive studies, analysing NCR and defect data, engineering and manufacturing data with focus on proactively eliminating or reducing defects, hence ensuring acceptable residual risk – with the help of standard Reliability and Quality tools and techniques.
To carry out reliability and risk assessment of new products, technologies, and equipment to quantify risk and Cost of Poor Quality / Cost of Warranty exposure to operate Hydro Power Plants.
Defining and executing statistical tools and techniques for analysing the risk assessments in design development and warranty supporting the new product development
Lead development of system reliability models and verify targets vs performance along product life cycle – and help identify/drive actions to bring down the risk across Hydro Power Plants.
Hands on experience in Project environment to manage Project reporting cycles ( Monthly / Quarterly / Yearly ) using multilayer data from ERP (SAP-PowerMax) cost accounting and reporting, WBS based Project accounting, to track Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) and Cost of Warranty (CoW) etc.
Implement and drive AI/ML algorithms and relevant analytical models to evaluate outcomes and effectiveness of Quality Assurance tools like RCA, FMEA etc
Support organization with effective FMEA governance through definition of APQP4Hydro manual and deployment of xFMEA platform.
Support / drive RCAs for issues in new product development and field quality issues
Strong hands-on with programming & development of dashboards with advanced data visualization tools and methods (Tableau, Power BI, Smartsheet, Quality Suite, etc.)
Work with multiple challenging situations with data (large, complex and sometimes with gaps) and be able to make the right assumptions effectively to solve a business problem
Strong experience with building descriptive and predictive analytics (regressions, neural networks, AI/ML etc) to help business make data driven decisions
Experience with developing API/VBA tools for Reliability and data analytical models will be an added advantage
Support Quality Assurance Leader / Manager for deployment of reporting architecture for Quality Suite tools including NCR, RCA, CoPQ / CoQ, Lessons Learned, BMS etc.
Support RCA Leader / Coach on Root Cause Analysis with subject expertise on Reliability and Analytics.
ReliaSoft reliability analysis tools (Weibull, xFMEA, ALTA, BlockSim),
Other common statistical tools using Excel, Minitab, R, Python and Tableau
Working knowledge on ERP systems
Effectively communicate risk on new products and technologies to key internal and external stakeholders
Ability to develop innovative methods of risk quantification and mitigation actions
Has good interpersonal skills and effective team building skills
Strong oral and written communication skills in English. (French / Chinese / Hindi / Portuguese would be a plus) Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
Ability to multitask, prioritize and lead virtual, global, remote teams
Ability to understand business processes, issues, and concerns and translate into solutions
Experience and good performance in working in multi-culturally diverse teams
Able to think outside of the box to bring creative, sustainable solutions to complicated problems
Statistically literate and familiar with quality concepts and tools (Six-sigma BB, Lean, etc.)
