Swiggy is hiring for Shift Manager

Supervise the overall operations of the dispatch team and housekeeping staff etc. in accordance with Swiggy's SOPs.



· Responsible to meet the shift dispatch targets while maintaining speed of service, quality, hygiene, and safety controls to minimize customer complaints.



· Manage the operations of the unit for a particular assigned shift and assist the Unit manager in the execution of the Unit Sales plan. Also ensure the right indent is done as per the sales forecast.



· Ensure a clean and safe work area, maintain an opening and closing checklist, check for equipment maintenance, arrange items in the dispatch area based on the menu and ascertain all standards are incorporated in the the day-to-day operations.



· Conduct a daily stock/ inventory check and maintain daily checklists, reports and MIS as required.



· Control food cost by reducing food and material wastage. Conduct a daily shelf-life check to ensure minimum spillage.



· Coordinate with the Unit Manager/ Kitchen team in case of shortage of stock (ingredients / materials) and replenishments if necessary.



· Monitor the dispatches and ensure packaging is appropriate for liquids, Veg/Non-Veg items etc. and Minimize packaging issues, missing products, and accompaniments to ensure accuracy of the products to be dispatched and eliminate mismatches if any.



· Ensure all products are available during the shift to ensure a smooth workflow and check shelf life of all products (expiry dates of desserts etc.) before dispatch.



· Liaise with the DE to hand over the packages as per bill details and ordered products to ascertain accuracy and timeliness in dispatch.



· Responsible for staff schedules and handling of employees including creating shift schedules / Duty Rosters, workstation assignments/rotations, employee training, employee breaks, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations.



· Ensure a daily briefing to the team and handle grievances if any.



· Ensure every team member is trained on the SOPs and safety, sanitation, quality standards etc.



· Reinforce the need for Personal hygiene and workplace hygiene for the dispatch team members.
