Job Description:
Software Development Engineer responsible for building and maintaining highly scalable distributed systems for Amazon’s global tax engine. The role focuses on developing accurate and efficient tax calculation services that process millions of requests per minute and support tax compliance across multiple countries.
The engineer will design, develop, test, deploy, and operate production software while working with cross-functional teams to translate tax and business requirements into reliable technical solutions. The role involves Java/Linux/Oracle-based development, system optimization, code reviews, monitoring, documentation, and production support.
