Job Description:
Job Purpose
To facilitate remote support to SHELL asset in maintaining Alarm Management KPI’s by performing activities such as Alarm Rationalization, Alarm Reconciliation, Master Alarm Database (MAD) Management, etc. Needs strong stakeholder engagement experience, the role exposes the incumbent to Subject Matter Experts from Control Systems, Process, engineering as well as to asset engineers. To identify improvement areas in the operational aspect of alarm management.
Accountabilities
• Understand existing ESP & Alarm Management philosophy in place in Shell assets
• Be accountable for implementation of rationalized alarm in MAD.
• Run & maintain support for Alarm reconciliation, BPO reconciliation, Alarm tracker update & Alarm suppression checks in SAP.
• Accountable for Creation of MAD using different versions of VT, PEFS, PIDs, etc.
• To carry out discrepancy checks between Variable Table (VT) & DCS.
• Be accountable to maintain an updated ACM/MAD.
• To be accountable for carrying out health checks & identify GAP.
• Be accountable overall that it is ensured that all relevant deliverables (also from peers) are delivered in time and with very high quality.
• Be accountable for defining and improving standard work for the Alarm Management Systems.
• Network with counterparts and other levels of organization across the different operating units, data centers and develop external networks outside of TAO and Shell.
Skills and Requirements
• University Degree in Instrumentation Engineering.
• Minimum 5 plus Years of work exp. after Graduate Degree & overall working experience in Oil & Gas/ Petrochemicals.
• Operations and Maintenance experience working in offshore/Upstream facilities in disciplines like instrumentation/control systems.
• In-depth knowledge of Control Systems.
• Experience in Installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of DCS, Safety PLC, Stardom PLC and Fast tools SCADA, control networks and HMIs.
• Proficiency in Reviewing Alarm Systems philosophy, Re-prioritizing alarms. Sound Understanding of process safety & exposure of process control.
• Proficiency in real time data, SAP, Advance skills in MS excel, smart platforms and smart connects applications like PI process books etc.,
• Effective communication skill and stakeholder management is a necessary skill for the job.
• Advanced skill level in MS Excel
• A high level of comfort in using computer based tools as well as unit simulators. Advanced spreadsheet skill required.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, analytical skills and attention to details are essential to build a strong team and working spirit within the team.

• Flexibility to move quickly across changing priorities and manage multiple Projects/Programmes
• Ability to independently, resourcefully, and creatively research and implement new solutions
• A good understanding of the Upstream/DS/IG business and how it works.

• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to challenge and ability to build internal and external relationships based on trust and to integrate across multiple functions.
