Job Description for Backup Admin:
Should have hands on experience (3-5 Years) in Veritas Netbackup
Complete End-to-End Implementation of NetBackup in project.
Worked as a backup admin in project.
Planning server migration strategy with respect to backup server.
Taking inputs from App/DBA team and preparing server backup plan.
Configured dedicated media server, SAN media server & SAN client.
Configure agent base backups like VMware, Oracle, MySQL and MS-SQL database.
Working on NetBackup troubleshoots and RFC’s for all scheduled backup activities.
Configuring & managing policies on Veritas NetBackup.
Handles failed jobs, Manual backup requests, excluding the backups & monitoring backups.
Manages backup resources (Veritas) including disk space, log files, tape drives, and tape media pools.
Handles failed jobs, Manual backups, excluding the backups & Monitoring backups.
Configuration of robots, drives, volume pool, disk storage and server group.
Validates that the data backed up is available for recovery.
Creating Problem reports for further escalation and coordinating with the various responsible groups until the incident has been resolved.
Updating Process related documents and technical Documents.
Perform reporting task related to backup and storage.
2.Job Description for Storage Admin:
Should have hands on experience (3-5 Years) on SAN storage IBM FS7200 and HP3PAR series.
Performed troubleshooting on End-to-End configuration in HP3PAR remote copy for a DR activity.
Manage and troubleshoot storage level snapshots, Adaptive Optimization, flash copy mapping etc.
Managing heterogeneous environments like DC, DR sites, multiple vendor storage etc.
Carried out Switch Fabric merging in a SAN Environment.
Handling multiple vendors & escalation matrix.
Perform Storage and SAN Switch firmware upgradation activity.
Performs Storage LUN provisioning, LUN extension and LUN decommissioning on HP3PAR and IBM FS7200 storage.
Performance analysis & recommendations for current infrastructure.
Doing SAN fabric planning & implementation with detailed layout.
Monitor SAN storage infra for multiple Storages HP, IBM etc.
