Job Description:
The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems and software using Infrastructure as Code. This can include the provision of cloud instances, streamlining deployments, configuring virtual instances, scaling out DB servers.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Manage availability, latency, scalability and efficiency of Pepperfry.com by engineering reliability into software and systems
Creating architectures & designs for new solutions around existing and new problem spaces
Deep understanding & experience of high-performance web-scale & real-time response systems
Must be comfortable working in fast-paced, agile and fuzzy environments - where boundaries aren't clearly defined
Desired Skills & Competencies
Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration (Must)
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Cloud Formation / Terraform, Puppet / Chef / Ansible) (Must)
DevOps automation with CI/CD, pipeline that enforces proper versioning and branching practices (GIT is a must)
Experience in AWS Infrastructure (Must)
Excellent knowledge of Bash, Python & Automation Frameworks. (Must)
Good experience on Apache, Nginx & Tomcat.
Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available services.
