Job Overview
The Payroll Analyst is responsible for proactive collaboration with customers and key internal business partners within the Global Payroll organization. This role requires independent thinking in handling payroll analysis and validations. To be successful in this role the Payroll Analyst need to be familiar with Tax legislations, and system reporting. Collect and audit payroll data against payroll inputs, to ensure accuracy of payroll processing.
The individual must be able to handle ambiguity, be self-motivated to figure out the total picture, and propose resolutions or take appropriate action. Must be able to combine large volumes of data from a variety of reporting sources, and recommend constructive and preventative solutions.
Responsibilities
Review and approve payrolls and provide back-up support to the Payroll Manager.
Responsible for ensuring accuracy of payroll inputs to files provided by 3rd party vendors.
Analyze and validate payroll results using technology through reports, audits, and macros
Perform audits of data prior to payroll completion and follow all established controls
Audit and validate time keeping system data before exporting to the Payroll system
Reconcile and audit HRIS (Workday) files to the Payroll system (ADP)
Reconcile payroll general ledger accounts and partner with the Accounting team to resolve discrepancies
Root cause analysis including constructive and preventative actions (CAPA)
Review of manual checks and pay adjustments
Assist in the review of current payroll processes to identify areas of process improvements and standardization
Create and write Standard Operating Procedures in a clear and organized way
Communicate effectively with various levels of management to ensure high level of customer support and positive customer interactions
Ability to understand and accurately apply Intuit policies and procedures in order to ensure accuracy of salary differential, overtime payment, vacation/sick and other benefit accruals, etc.
Demonstrated skill in performing standard payroll operations including auditing time report documents, computing payroll hours and reconciling errors.
Ability to prioritize work assignments and meet deadlines under conditions of heavy workload, conflicting priorities and frequent interruptions.
