Job Description:
Power BI Senior Developer (7+ years)
Duration: FTE
Location: Hyderabad
Essential Skills/Experience:
• At least 7 years of experience in designing and implementing end-to-end BI solutions using Power BI including Report Builder for paginated reports
• Experience/Knowledge on other BI Tools such as Tableau, Qlik Sense, Advanced Excel is beneficial
• Expertise in all areas of BI Solutions is essential - architecture, data sourcing/acquisition, integration, transformation, creating cubes, presentation, Data Security implementation, Deployment
• Deep knowledge on the Power BI services including Power BI Embedded, PBI Reporting Services
• Up to date knowledge of latest Power BI features and functionality
• Expertise in designing effective Report layouts using Data Visualizations best practices
• Expertise in developing insightful, actionable Reports and Dashboards using default as well as custom visualizations
• Strong experience in designing BI solutions on cloud (Azure Cloud Platform) & on-premises platform using Power BI for self-service & enterprise reporting needs
• Strong experience in Data modelling and building semantic layer (Star, Snowflake, Denormalized)
• Strong Experience in working with different data sources for analysis like relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle), Flat files, Excel, cloud-based data sources (AAS, 1010data, Snowflake, Google, Salesforce, SharePoint, and any other data sources)
• Expertise in Data Analysis with strong skills in writing advanced SQL Queries and Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) that are performant on large datasets
• Experience on Azure Analysis Services (AAS), SSAS Tabular and Multi-dimensional
• Knowledge of other Power Platform products - Power Apps, Power Automate/Flow – would be beneficial
• Experience in integrating Power BI to web applications (embedded) and customization of visuals
• Experience in automation of various tasks in Power BI (Scheduling, Power BI Data Flows, Refreshes)
• Ability to work independently and manage time according to agreed project priorities and deadlines
• Confident in communicating with stakeholders of all levels including the ability to advise, train and support project teams and clients as needed
• Ability to quickly learn, adapt to emerging technologies and apply them in the projects as needed
• Experience in working in Agile environment (Scrum)
• Experience working in Dev-Ops environment for solution delivery would be an added advantage
Job Responsibilities:
• Involving in all stages of the project lifecycle and communicating with clients and internal stakeholders
• Gathering client requirements, understanding, and converting them into a powerful story through intuitive visuals in Power BI
• Ingesting data from a variety of corporate data sources and performing required transformations
• Data Modelling and data analyses to support decision making
• Designing and developing effective Reports, Dashboards and deploying on corporate platform
• Providing technical support and guidance through prototyping, testing, build & launch of Power BI products
• Developing technical documentations, user manual / training documentation
• Contributing to COE activities, Presales, supporting teams by providing technical guidance/training
