Job Description:
Responsibilities
Strong communication skills with a collaborative team player orientation
Knowledge and experience accounting for stock options and share-based payments to employees and nonemployees under ASC 718, as amended
Ability to apply accounting concepts pertaining to revenue and leasing under ASC 606 and 842
Lease accounting knowledge must include both lessee and lessor
Works independently and ability to present accounting solutions to C-suite executives
Fundamental skillset to know how to research and interpret technical accounting and SEC reporting rules and regulations
Must know how to manage complexity and ability to read contracts and legal documents to accurately identify accounting and reporting matters for investigation
Strong understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Public Company Accounting Oversight Board and Committee of Sponsoring Organizations (COSO) standards
Experience with internal controls over accounting estimates, including strong understanding of critical judgments and how to design and implement effective management review controls
Ability to participate in the development of a best-in-class finance function and must be comfortable in establishing new solutions
Complete ad hoc projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Accounting
6-8+ years of experience in SEC reporting roles with SEC registrants or progressive experience with Big 4/large National public accounting experience
At least 2 years of experience within an automotive OEM, automotive OEM supplier, manufacturer or related company preferred
Chartered Accountant in India or US CPA, including passed exam but pending license, is required
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
Experience with Bill.com, Quickbooks & ERP will be a plus.
Ability to work independently with a strong sense of urgency.
Organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and management.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
