Job Description:
#Position Summary: A Pentest Engineer is responsible for assessing and improving the security posture of an organization by conducting penetration tests, vulnerability assessments, and security audits. They work closely with IT teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and critical systems.
#Position Education and Experience (required and preferred):
●Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
●Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security technologies.
●Proficiency in various penetration testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Metasploit, Nmap, Burp Suite, Wireshark).
●Understanding of programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for scripting and tool development.
●Knowledge of industry compliance standards and regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR).
●Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
●Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
●Ethical mindset and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity.
#Experience:
●Typically, 2-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on penetration testing and vulnerability assessment.
●Experience with security assessment methodologies, such as OWASP, NIST, or PTES.
