Job Purpose
Engineer - Manufacturing Engineer

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Good knowledge about all the machining operations related to gear/ shafts manufacturing to review part manufacturing feasibility i.e. Facing & centering, CNC turning, Broaching, Shaping, Hobbing, Spline rolling, Chamfering, Roofing, Rounding, Gun drilling, VMC, Shaving, Heat treatment (Carburizing, Nitriding, Induction hardening, Magnaflux crack detection, shot peening), Center lapping, Straightening, Bore & face grinding, OD grinding, Hard turning, Gear grinding, Washing, Marking etc.
Knowledge of Drawing study, Auto Cad, Forging & turning drawing concept, deciding new parts process flow chart, selection of machine, fixturing and tooling for each operation, clarity on part inspection and gauging concept.
Cycle time estimation, costing sheet preparation by deciding part process for allotted projects, Forging model & weight calculation, Proposal drafting for solution to customers, Arranging brought out parts quote from Purchase, to arrange heat treatment cycle and cutting tools budgetary quote for new RFQ parts.
also co-ordination with Heat treatment, Production, Purchase, Quality, Logistics & tooling supplier for cutting tools.
Good communication, Knowledge on Auto Cad, MS office specially in excels and PPT. Knowledge of IATF, PFMEA, innovative, action oriented, interpersonal relationship.
