Eligibility Criteria :
Educational Qualification:
Master’s Degree in Library Science, OR
Second Class Master’s in any other subject + Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science.
Experience: Minimum 2 years in a public or institutional library of repute.
Language: Proficient in Bengali (or Nepali) and English (spoken and written; tested during interview).
Desirable: Knowledge of computerized cataloguing and library software.
Age Limit:
Maximum 36 years as of 01.01.2026; relaxation applicable for higher qualifications, longer experience, or departmental candidates.
Nationality: Only Indian citizens and others declared eligible by the Government of India.
Salary :
Pay Level 16 under WBS (ROPA) Rules, 2019.
Pay Scale: ₹56,100 – ₹1,44,300 + admissible allowances.
