Eligibility Criteria :
To apply for the Vijayapura Municipal Corporation Pourakarmika Recruitment 2026, candidates must meet all the conditions listed below. Applications that do not satisfy these requirements will be rejected during the verification stage.

Citizenship Requirement :
Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.

Age Limit :
Applicants must be 18 to 50 years of age as on the date of notification.

Work Experience Requirement :
Candidates must have prior experience working under Vijayapura Mahanagara Palike in roles such as Pourakarmika, Loader, UGDS Health Worker, Cleaner, or other sanitation-related positions on a contract, outsourcing, or daily-wage basis, with at least one year of service before the notification date.

Additional Conditions :
Candidates must be physically and mentally fit for sanitation duties. Medical unfitness will result in disqualification.
Preference will be given to those experienced in waste management, public sanitation, and zero-waste operations within municipal limits.
Knowledge of Kannada language is required.
Candidates must not have any criminal background.
Those removed from service due to disciplinary action are not eligible.
Applicants must not be currently enrolled as students.
In case of deceased workers during service (including COVID-19 cases), one eligible family member may apply.
Candidates from identified manual scavenger families may also be considered for reserved posts (up to 10 vacancies).
Reservation rules (SC/ST/OBC) are not applicable under this direct recruitment process.

Application Fee
All Candidates : ₹100.
Fee must be paid only at Vijayapura Mahanagara Palike office.

Selection Procedure :
Selection will be carried out through a direct priority-based system without any written examination.
Priority Order ;
Existing or former municipal sanitation workers with at least 1 year of service.
One family member of workers who died while in service.
Candidates with prior experience in municipal sanitation or waste management activities.
Manual scavenger families identified under relevant provisions (limited posts reserved).
Tie-Breaking Criteria ;
If candidates have equal service experience ;
Preference will be given based on older age.
If both age and service are identical, selection will be done through a random draw (lottery system).
Final Selection Notes.
Medical fitness is mandatory.
Final decision rests with the District Collector-led Selection Committee.
Experience and service history carry primary importance.
Employment Terms.
Appointment is strictly temporary and contractual.
Salary will follow government minimum wage rules along with PF and ESI benefits.
No claim for permanent employment or regularization is allowed.
No pension, gratuity, or long-term service benefits will be provided.
Candidates must sign an undertaking agreeing to these terms before joining.
Providing false information may result in immediate termination and legal action.
