Eligibility Criteria :
Applicants must satisfy the post-specific qualifications and experience requirements prescribed for each role ;
Scientist-B (Mechanical) :
Candidates should possess either a Master’s degree in Physics with at least 1 year of relevant practical experience, or a B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in testing, calibration, precision measurement, or metrology in a recognized laboratory or institution.
Desirable: Exposure to research and development work related to engineering materials and calibration.
Scientific Officer (Non-Destructive) :
Master’s degree in Physics or B.E./B.Tech in Electrical/Mechanical/Metallurgy with at least 1 year of experience in non-destructive testing laboratories, X-ray diffraction techniques, or failure analysis of engineering materials.
Superintending Archaeological Engineer :
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering along with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in planning, execution, and supervision of civil engineering projects, preferably in government departments or heritage/archaeological sites.
Assistant Professor (Civil Engineering – Survey) :
B.E./B.Tech and M.E./M.Tech in Civil Engineering with specialization in Geoinformatics/Surveying Technology, securing first class or equivalent grade at either undergraduate or postgraduate level.

General/OBC (Male): ₹25.
SC/ST/Women: Exempted.
Age Limit :
Age criteria will be governed by standard UPSC rules. Applicable relaxations include ;
OBC: 3 years.
SC/ST: 5 years.
PwBD: 10 years.
PwBD + OBC: 13 years.
PwBD + SC/ST: 15 years.
Central Government Employees: 5 years.
Ex-Servicemen: 5 years.
Salary :
Selected candidates will be placed in the Pay Matrix as per the 7th CPC ;
Scientist-B (Mechanical): Level-10.
Scientific Officer: Level-08.
Superintending Archaeological Engineer: Level-11.
Assistant Professor: Academic Level-10.
Selection Process :
The recruitment process will include ;

Recruitment Test (if conducted by UPSC).
