Common Eligibility (Both Posts) ;
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university established by law in India.
Candidates should have good knowledge of Hindi and English languages.
Basic knowledge of computer operation is required.
Kanisth Sahayak (Junior Assistant) :
Must possess a Graduate degree from a recognized university.
Should have proficiency in Hindi typing.
Minimum typing speed: 25 words per minute (Hindi on computer).
Preference for candidates with English typing speed of 30 WPM.
Basic computer knowledge is mandatory.
Stenographer Grade-1 / Personal Assistant :
Must hold a Graduate degree from a recognized university.
Should have good command of Hindi and English languages.
Hindi shorthand speed: 80 words per minute.
Hindi typing speed: 25 words per minute on computer.
Preference for ;
English shorthand speed: 80 WPM.
English typing speed: 35 WPM.
Must have proficiency in computer operations.
Age Limit :
Age will be calculated as on 01 January 2026.
Candidates must be between 21 to 35 years of age.
Date of birth eligibility: 02 January 1991 to 01 January 2005 (inclusive).
Category-wise Age Relaxation ;
General / Unreserved: No relaxation.
SC / ST / OBC (Uttarakhand): 5 years relaxation.
Persons with Disabilities (Uttarakhand, Group C posts): 10 years relaxation.
Dependents of Freedom Fighters (Uttarakhand): 5 years relaxation.
Ex-Servicemen (Uttarakhand): Relaxation as per length of service and applicable government rules.
Selection Process :
Selection is based on a written examination followed by skill test and document verification.
Written Exam ;
Total Marks: 140 marks.
Type: Objective Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes.
Subjects: General Knowledge & General Studies.
Each correct answer: 1 mark.
Negative marking: 0.25 marks deducted for wrong answer.
No negative marking for unanswered questions.
Skill Test (Typing / Shorthand) ;
Total Marks: 60 marks.
Nature: Qualifying only.
Conducted as per separate syllabus issued by UKSSSC.
Minimum Qualifying Marks.
General / OBC: 45% marks.
SC / ST: 35% marks.
Candidates below qualifying marks are not eligible for selection.
Tie-Breaking Rule ;
Preference to candidates qualifying both Hindi and English skill tests.
If tie persists, older candidate will be given higher rank.

Fee must be paid online only.

Passport-size photograph (150×200 px).

Left thumb impression (150×100 px).

Complete registration using valid mobile number and email ID.
Fill in personal, academic, and category details carefully.
Upload required scanned documents (photo, signature, thumb impression).
Pay the application fee online.
Review all details before final submission.
Submit the application and download a copy for reference.
Correction Window ;
Edit facility available from 08 July to 10 July 2026.
Name, parents’ name, DOB, and exam centre cannot be changed.
Other Important Eligibility Conditions :
Only Indian citizens are eligible.
Candidates must be physically and mentally fit.
Medical examination is mandatory before final appointment.
Character certificates from institution and referees are required.
NOC is mandatory for government employees.
Strict anti-cheating rules apply under relevant Act.
Electronic devices (mobile, calculator, camera, etc.) are strictly prohibited in exam hall.
