Eligibility Criteria :
This recruitment is open only to eligible women members of Self Help Groups (SHGs) functioning under Panchayat-level federations in Sivaganga District. Candidates must fulfill all educational, experiential, and community membership requirements as on 29/05/2026. Selection is strictly limited to active SHG members engaged in community-level livelihood and financial inclusion activities.

Educational Qualification :
Applicants must have passed 12th Standard (Class XII) with adequate skills in reading, writing, and communication in Tamil and English. Basic knowledge of numerical and accounting work is also required. In exceptional cases (such as hilly or tribal areas), 10th pass candidates may be considered only with prior approval of the District Collector.

Gender and SHG Membership :
Only female candidates are eligible.
Must be an active member of an SHG under a Panchayat-level federation.
Membership must be within the respective Gram Panchayat cluster of the vacancy area.

Experience Requirement :
A minimum of 2 years’ experience as an SHG Promoter (Community Mobiliser) or in similar SHG-related field roles is mandatory.

Employment Conditions :
Candidate must not be engaged in any full-time government, private, or institutional employment.
Candidate must not belong to an SHG with loan default history (Varaak Kadan).

Residency and Target Group :
Candidate must be a resident of the concerned Panchayat area.
Preference will be given to candidates from identified target groups (BPL/marginalised communities as per census records),
If no eligible candidates from target groups are available, other qualified SHG members may be considered.

Age Limit :
All Candidates : Below 35 years (as on 29/05/2026).

No application fee is required for this recruitment process. Candidates can apply free of cost.

Selection Process :
Selection will be carried out by the District Selection Committee through a two-stage evaluation process consisting of a written examination followed by a personal interview. Final merit will be prepared based on total marks obtained.
Stage 1 : Written Examination (75 Marks) ;
The written test will assess candidates’ knowledge of SHG functioning, basic financial awareness, and general aptitude required for community coordination work.
Stage 2 : Personal Interview (25 Marks) ;
Shortlisted candidates will be evaluated on communication skills, SHG experience, banking-related knowledge, and suitability for field-level responsibilities.
Final Merit ;
Final selection will be based on a combined total of 100 marks (Written Test + Interview).

Who is NOT Eligible :
Candidates will not be considered if they ;
Are male applicants (only women SHG members are eligible).
Are not active SHG members under the prescribed Panchayat federation.
Do not have at least 2 years of SHG promoter experience.
Are 35 years or older as on 29/05/2026.
Are engaged in full-time employment elsewhere.
Belong to SHGs with overdue or defaulted loans.
Do not reside in the concerned Panchayat jurisdiction.
Do not meet the minimum qualification requirements.
Expect permanent government employment or long-term service benefits.

Common Mistakes to Avoid :
Applying outside the assigned SHG/BMMU area.
Submitting incomplete application forms or missing documents.
Not attaching 12th pass certificate or age proof.
Applying after the deadline (29/05/2026, 5:00 PM).
Sending applications through courier or invalid submission modes.
Incorrect or missing personal details in the application.
Not confirming required SHG promoter experience.
Ignoring mandatory residency requirement.

Important Instructions :
This is a temporary honorarium-based role with ₹2,500 per month, not a permanent government job.
Candidates must use an Android mobile phone for official communication and reporting.
Preference will be given to candidates with computer knowledge and two-wheeler driving skills.
All responsibilities are related to SHG financial services and community coordination activities.
Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted under any circumstances.
Selection preference may be given to eligible BPL/marginalised SHG members.
Special relaxation in eligibility is applicable only in exceptional areas with District Collector approval.
