SSC JSA LDC DoPT LDCE Recruitment 2026 Notification :
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the SSC JSA LDC DoPT LDCE Recruitment 2026 Notification for filling 49 tentative vacancies of Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) / Lower Division Clerk (LDC) in the Central Secretariat Clerical Service (CSCS) under the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT).
This recruitment is being conducted through the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) 2025, which is meant exclusively for eligible serving Central Government employees and is not open to the general public.

SSC JSA LDC Vacancy 2026 Details :
The Staff Selection Commission has announced 49 tentative vacancies under the Central Secretariat Clerical Service (CSCS).
The recruitment is being conducted for the post of Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) / Lower Division Clerk (LDC).
These vacancies are available under the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT).

SSC JSA LDC Eligibility Criteria 2026 :
Candidates must be permanent or regularly appointed temporary Group 'C' employees in the Central Government.
Applicants should be working in Grade Pay ₹1800 under the prescribed service conditions.
Candidates must have completed a minimum of three years of regular service as on 1 August 2025.
Employees serving on approved deputation may also apply if they satisfy all eligibility conditions.
Candidates transferred to another service while retaining lien in their parent cadre are also eligible.
The parent department or cadre must be a participating service under this departmental examination.
Applicants must have passed Class 12 (Higher Secondary) or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board.
All eligibility conditions including educational qualification and service period will be determined with reference to the crucial date of 1 August 2025.
Candidates who resign from service, quit employment, or whose services are terminated before appointment shall not be considered for selection.
SSC JSA LDC Typewriting Test :
Candidates must qualify the prescribed SSC Typewriting Test if they have not already passed it.
The required typing speed in English is 35 words per minute on Computer or 30 words per minute on Manual Typewriter.
The required typing speed in Hindi is 30 words per minute on Computer or 25 words per minute on Manual Typewriter.
The prescribed Key Depression Speed is 10,500 KDPH in English and 9,000 KDPH in Hindi.
Candidates who fail to qualify the typing test during the probation period may face reversion as per Government rules.
Physically disabled candidates declared permanently unfit for typewriting by a competent Civil Surgeon may be exempted according to DoPT guidelines.

SSC JSA LDC Application Fee 2026 :
The official notification does not prescribe any application fee for submitting the online application.
Since this is a Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, eligible Government employees are not required to pay any examination fee.
Candidates submitting objections against the provisional answer key must pay ₹50 per question through the online objection portal.
The objection fee is non-refundable, irrespective of whether the objection is accepted or rejected.
SSC will not reimburse any travelling or other expenses incurred by candidates for appearing in the examination.
SSC JSA LDC Salary 2026
Selected candidates will be appointed under Pay Level-2 of the 7th Central Pay Commission.
The basic pay ranges from ₹19,900 to ₹63,200.
The post belongs to Group 'C' Non-Gazetted category.
Candidates will receive Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), Medical benefits, Leave benefits, Pension benefits (as applicable), and other Government allowances.

SSC JSA LDC Selection Process 2026 :
The recruitment process consists of one stage only, namely the Computer Based Examination (CBE).
The examination contains 180 Multiple Choice Questions carrying 180 marks.

Eligible PwBD candidates will receive 4 hours including compensatory time.
There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.
Final merit will be prepared solely on the basis of marks obtained in the Computer Based Examination.
