Eligibility Criteria :

General Requirements :
Candidates must ensure they meet all eligibility conditions as on 01-08-2026, which is the cut-off date for determining qualification.
Only degrees obtained from recognized universities or institutions approved by the Government of India, UGC, or relevant statutory bodies will be considered valid.
All eligibility claims will be verified during document verification, and admission to the examination is provisional.

Educational Qualification :

Common Posts :
A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university is required.
Final-year students may apply, provided they obtain the required qualification on or before 01-08-2026.

Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) :
Bachelor’s degree in any subject with Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level (minimum 60% marks), OR
Bachelor’s degree with Statistics as one of the core subjects.

Statistical Investigator Grade-II :
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Demography, Population Studies, Operations Research, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or Artificial Intelligence.

Assistant Audit Officer / Assistant Accounts Officer :
A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
Additional qualifications such as CA, CMA, CS, M.Com, MBA (Finance), or equivalent professional degrees are preferred.

Distance Education Qualification :
Accepted only if the degree is approved by UGC-DEB for Central Government recruitment purposes. Supporting documentation must be produced during verification.

BRO Posts :
Only male candidates are eligible for posts under Border Roads Organisation.

Age Limit :
Age will be determined as on 01-08-2026 based on the date of birth mentioned in the Matriculation certificate.
18–27 years.
20–30 years.
18–30 years.
18–32 years (for JSO posts).
Relaxation Rules ;
SC/ST: +5 years.
OBC: +3 years.
PwBD: +10 to +15 years depending on category.
Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after deduction of military service.
Government employees and other eligible categories: relaxation as per government norms.

Application Fee :
General / OBC / EWS (Male): ₹100.
SC / ST / PwBD / Women / Ex-Servicemen: Exempted.
Payment must be made online through UPI, debit/credit cards, or net banking only.
Correction charges apply: ₹200 for first correction and ₹500 for second correction.
Application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

Selection Process :
Recruitment will be conducted through a multi-stage Computer-Based Examination system.
Tier-I Examination ;
Objective test with 100 questions carrying 200 marks.
Subjects: Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English.
Duration: 1 hour.
Negative marking: 0.50 per incorrect answer.
Tier-II Examination ;
Includes Paper-I (mandatory), Paper-II (JSO), and Paper-III (AAO/AAO).
Consists of advanced aptitude, statistics, English language, finance, economics, and computer-based sections
Includes qualifying skill tests such as DEST and Computer Knowledge Test.

Exam Structure :
Tier-I assesses basic reasoning, arithmetic ability, language skills, and general awareness.
Tier-II evaluates advanced numerical ability, statistics, finance, economics, and applied computer knowledge.
All questions are objective-type and designed at the graduate level.

Salary / Pay Structure :
Pay levels vary between Level-4 and Level-8 depending on the post.
Includes standard Central Government allowances such as DA, HRA, and TA.

Selection Flow :
Tier-I Computer-Based Examination.
Tier-II Computer-Based Examination.
Skill Tests (DEST/CKT where applicable).
Document Verification.
