Eligibility Criteria and Service Conditions :
Candidates applying for Sports Authority of India Recruitment 2026 must fulfill the prescribed service eligibility and qualification requirements mentioned below.

Service Eligibility :
Applicants must satisfy any one of the following conditions:
Officers serving under ;
Central Government.
State Government.
Union Territory Administrations.
and holding an equivalent/analogous post in their parent cadre or department.
OR
Officers with at least 6 years of regular service in ;
Pay Matrix Level-5.
₹25,500 – ₹81,100.
(Pay Band-1: ₹5200–20200 with Grade Pay ₹2800).

Essential Qualification :
Candidates must possess any one of the following qualifications or achievements:
Diploma in Coaching from ;
SAI NS NIS Patiala.
Or an equivalent recognized Indian or Foreign University/Institute.
OR
Participation in international sporting events such as ;
Olympics.
Paralympics.
Asian Games.
World Championships.
along with a recognized coaching certification course.
OR
Recipients of the prestigious Dronacharya Award are eligible to apply.
OR
Eligibility under sports quota norms as determined by the competent authority of SAI.

Age Limit & Posting :
Maximum Age: 56 years as on the opening date of receipt of application.

Posting Location :
Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in India at centres where SAI training programmes and schemes are operational.

Selection Methodology :
The recruitment process will include the following stages ;

Eligible shortlisted candidates will be invited for personal interview.
Final Selection ;
A merit list will be prepared by the Selection Committee based on ;
