Eligibility Criteria :
Applicants must satisfy all eligibility requirements as determined on the closing date of online submission (16 June 2026). The eligibility norms shall strictly follow the UGC Regulations (Notification No. F.1-2/2017(EC/PS), dated 18 July 2018) and subsequent amendments.
The time period spent pursuing M.Phil. and/or Ph.D. degrees will not be treated as valid research experience.
The upper age limit for applicants is 60 years, beyond which applications will not be considered. Only a Matriculation/SSC certificate issued by a recognized board will be accepted as valid proof of date of birth.

Essential Qualifications :
Professor :
Applicants may qualify through either of the following pathways ;

Candidates must be academically distinguished scholars holding a Ph.D. in the relevant or allied field, supported by strong research output. A minimum of ten publications in reputed peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals is required, along with a research score of at least 120 as per UGC guidelines.
They must also possess at least ten years of teaching and/or research experience at recognized universities or research institutions at the level of Assistant Professor or above, including evidence of supervising doctoral research.
OR
Professionals holding a Ph.D. in relevant or applied disciplines and demonstrating exceptional contributions to their field may also apply. Such contributions must be supported by valid documentary evidence, along with at least ten years of relevant professional experience.

Associate Professor :
Candidates applying for this position must demonstrate strong academic and research credentials, including ;
A Ph.D. degree in the relevant or allied discipline.
A Master’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks (relaxation to 50% for reserved categories as per norms).
At least eight years of teaching or research experience equivalent to Assistant Professor level in recognized institutions.
A minimum of seven publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
A research score of 75 or above as per UGC evaluation framework.
Special provisions apply for disciplines such as Music, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, and Traditional Indian Art Forms, where both academic and professional excellence are considered.

Assistant Professor :
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria ;

Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories).
They must have qualified NET conducted by UGC/CSIR or equivalent SET/SLET examinations. Candidates holding Ph.D. degrees awarded under UGC regulations (2009 or 2016) are exempt from NET/SET/SLET requirements, subject to applicable rules. However, NET/SET/SLET remains the standard eligibility benchmark as per the latest UGC notification.
OR
Candidates who have obtained a Ph.D. degree from a foreign university ranked among the top 500 global institutions (QS, THE, or ARWU rankings) are also eligible.
Additional subject-specific relaxations exist for candidates in fine arts and performing arts disciplines based on professional achievements.

Selection Procedure :
The recruitment process will be conducted in multiple stages, beginning with application scrutiny followed by final interview.
