Eligibility and Experience Requirements :
The Director position is intended for highly accomplished scientists with a distinguished career in research, innovation, academic leadership, and institutional administration. Applicants should possess an exceptional track record of scientific contributions and demonstrate the ability to lead a premier research institution.

Essential Eligibility Conditions :
A Ph.D. in Physical Sciences or an equivalent discipline from a recognized university or institution.
Significant post-doctoral research experience in reputed national or international research organizations, universities, or scientific establishments.
Proven record of high-impact research contributions, including quality publications in reputed journals and/or patented innovations of national or international significance.
Recognition for scientific excellence through prestigious fellowships, awards, honors, or memberships of renowned scientific academies and professional bodies.
A minimum of 25 years of professional experience in research, teaching, technology development, or scientific administration in universities, research institutes, government laboratories, or industrial R&D organizations.
At least 6 years of leadership experience in senior administrative, managerial, or policy-making roles involving research management and institutional development.

Age Criteria :
Applicants must meet the prescribed age requirement on the closing date of application submission.
Upper Age Limit : 56 Years.
Candidates exceeding the prescribed age limit will not be considered unless otherwise permitted under applicable rules.

Compensation & Service Benefits :
The selected candidate will be appointed to a prestigious leadership position and will receive remuneration commensurate with the responsibilities of heading a premier scientific research institution.
Director : ₹2,25,000/-.
In addition to the salary, the appointee may be eligible for other benefits, facilities, and service conditions as applicable under institutional and Government regulations.

Screening & Evaluation ;

Assessment of Credentials ;
The Committee will evaluate candidates based on ;

National and international recognition.
Leadership and administrative experience.
Contributions to scientific advancement and institution building.

Recommendation & Appointment :
Based on the overall assessment, the Committee will recommend suitable candidates for consideration and final appointment by the competent authority.
