RPSC Recruitment 2026

Eligibility Criteria :
Candidates applying for RPSC RAS & Subordinate Services Recruitment 2026 must meet the prescribed educational qualification, age limits, and service conditions (where applicable) as laid down by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission.

Educational Qualification :
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized institution, including ;
Universities established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature.
Institutions deemed to be Universities under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.
Any equivalent qualification recognized by the Government in consultation with the Commission.
Compliance Note :
All eligibility conditions including qualification, age, and experience must be fulfilled at the time of application. Providing false or incorrect information may lead to legal action under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (Section 217) and disqualification from RPSC examinations for up to 3 years.
Service Requirement (For State Departmental Candidates) :
Applicable only for reserved posts under Rajasthan State Services.
Minimum 5 years of service (substantive or officiating) required.
Eligibility calculated as on 01 January 2027.

Age Criteria :
Minimum Age: 21 years.
Maximum Age: 40 years (as on 01 January 2027).
Special Condition (State Government Employees).
Minimum Age: 25 years.
Maximum Age: 45 years.
Age Relaxation
SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS (Male – Rajasthan Domicile) : 5 years.
SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS (Female – Rajasthan Domicile) : 10 years.
General Category Women : 5 years.
Widows & Divorced Women : No upper age limit.
PwBD Candidates : +5 years (as per RPwD Rules 2018).
Ex-Servicemen (State Services) : 10 years.
Ex-Servicemen (Subordinate Services) : 15 years.
Employees of PSUs/Corporations : Up to 40 years.
Panchayat Samiti / Zila Parishad Employees : Up to 45 years.
State Government Employees : Up to 45 years.

Application Fee :
General / OBC (Creamy Layer) / MBC (Creamy Layer) : ₹600.
SC / ST / OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) / MBC (Non-Creamy Layer) / EWS / Saharia Tribe : ₹400.
Persons with Disabilities (PwD) : ₹400.
Payment to be made online only via https://rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in
Candidates from other states under reserved categories will be treated as General category for fee purposes.

Selection Process :
Selection will be conducted through a three-stage Combined Competitive Examination system ;
Preliminary Examination ;
Objective type screening test.
Subject: General Knowledge & General Science.
Marks: 200.
Duration: 3 hours.
Marks are qualifying in nature and not counted for final merit.
Main Examination ;
Candidates qualifying Prelims will appear in the Mains examination ;
Paper I General Studies – I : 200 Marks.
Paper II General Studies – II : 200 Marks.
Paper III General Studies – III : 200 Marks.
Paper IV General Hindi & General English : 200 Marks.
Total Marks: 800.
Nature: Descriptive / Analytical.
Personality Test / Interview ;
Total Marks: 100.
Conducted for candidates shortlisted from Mains.
Minimum Qualifying Criteria (Mains) ;
Minimum 10% marks in each paper.
Minimum 15% aggregate marks.
SC/ST candidates receive 5% relaxation.
