Rail Wheel Factory Apprentice Recruitment 2026

Eligibility Criteria :

Educational Qualification:
Applicants must have successfully passed the 10th standard (Matriculation) or its equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognized Board as on the date of notification.

Trade Qualification:
Candidates should hold a valid National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the relevant trade issued by NCVT. Completion of ITI without obtaining the final certificate will not be accepted. Applicants awaiting results or those who have not cleared the ITI/NTC examination are not eligible.

Higher Qualifications:
Candidates possessing Engineering Degrees or Diplomas are not eligible to apply under this notification, as they fall under a separate apprenticeship scheme.

Employment Exchange Registration:
Registration with the local Employment Exchange is compulsory and must be valid on the date of notification. Preference will be given to candidates registered within Karnataka.

Wards of Railway Employees:
Children/wards of serving Railway employees across Indian Railways may also apply. Their applications must be forwarded through the concerned Controlling Officer in the prescribed format. Employment Exchange registration is not mandatory for this category.

Only full-time regular qualifications obtained from recognized Boards/NCVT will be considered.

Stipend Details :
₹12,261/- per month for Fitter, Machinist, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Turner, Electrician, and Electronic Mechanic trades.
₹10,899/- per month for CNC Programming cum-Operator (COE Group).
Stipend will be paid as per prevailing rules and applicable amendments.

Important: Completion of apprenticeship training does not guarantee employment in the Railways. Apprentices will not have any right to claim regular appointment after training.

Age Limit (As on 01.03.2026) :
Minimum Age: 15 years.
Maximum Age: 24 years.

Relaxation in Upper Age Limit:
SC/ST: 5 years.
OBC: 3 years.
