Punjab and Haryana High Court Stenographer Recruitment 2026

Educational Qualification :
Bachelor’s Degree in Arts or Science from a recognized University.
Working knowledge of Computer Applications, including Word Processing and Spreadsheets, is essential.

Age Criteria (as on 10-03-2026) :
Minimum Age: 21 years.
Maximum Age: 30 years.
Permissible Relaxations:
Persons with 40% or more Lower Limb Disability: 10 years.
Ex-servicemen: Length of defence service rendered plus 3 years.
Government Department Employees: 10 years.

Note:
Reservation under SC/ST/BC categories is applicable only to candidates holding valid certificates issued by Punjab, Haryana, or UT Chandigarh, and who are domiciled in these areas.
Ex-servicemen benefits are admissible only to the ex-servicemen themselves, not to their dependents.
Candidates with less than 40% Lower Limb Disability will be treated under the General category.
No age relaxation shall be granted to candidates engaged on contract or ad hoc basis.

Application Fee :
General & SC/ST/BC (Other States) : ₹1,000/-.
SC/ST/BC (Punjab, Haryana, UT Chandigarh) : ₹800/-.
Persons with Lower Limb Disability (40%+) : ₹800/-.
Ex-servicemen : ₹800/-.


Pay & Allowances :
Salary and service conditions shall be governed by the prevailing rules and instructions issued by the Government of Punjab.
The pay structure will be in accordance with the pattern followed by the High Court of Punjab and Haryana for its employees.
