PSSSB Recruitment 2026

Educational Qualification :

Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions on or before 05 June 2026.

Technical Qualification : 3-Year Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.

Punjabi Language Requirement : Must have passed Matriculation with Punjabi as compulsory or elective subject.

Punjabi Language Test : Minimum 50% marks required in qualifying Punjabi language test (Matric level).

Domicile Requirement :
Punjab Domicile/Residence Certificate is mandatory for all candidates.
Certificate must not be older than 5 years at the time of application.

Age Limit (As on 01-01-2026) :
General (UR) : 18 to 37 Years.
SC (Punjab Residents) : 18 to 42 Years.
Government Employees : Up to 45 Years (with NOC).
Widows / Divorcee Women : Up to 40 Years.

Application Fee :
General : ₹1000/-.
SC (All Categories) : ₹250/-.
Previous Applicants (Advt. 08/2023) : No Fee.
Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Selection Process :
The recruitment process includes ;
Written Examination (Objective Type MCQs).
Document Verification / Counselling.

Exam Pattern :
Part A : Punjabi Language ; Qualifying (50% required) ; Qualifying in nature.
Part B : Technical Subject (Electrical Engineering) ; Merit Based ; MCQ based.
Negative Marking: ¼ mark for each wrong answer (Part B only).
Final merit list will be prepared based on Part B marks only.
Qualifying Part A (Punjabi) is compulsory.
Tie-Breaking Rules ;
Older candidate (based on date of birth).
Higher percentage in Diploma qualification.
Higher marks in Matriculation.

How to Apply :
Candidates must apply online only through the official SSSB Punjab website. Applicants need to register, fill the application form, upload documents, pay the fee, and submit the form. No modifications will be allowed after final submission.

Documents Required :
10th Certificate (DOB & Punjabi proof).
Diploma in Electrical Engineering Certificate.
Punjab Domicile Certificate (within 5 years validity).
Caste Certificate (if applicable).
Other supporting documents as required.

Important Instructions :
Only online applications are accepted.
Punjab domicile is mandatory for all candidates.
No correction allowed after submission.
Incomplete applications will be rejected.
Admit card, result, and updates will be available only on the official portal.
No TA/DA will be provided for exam or counselling.
Government employees must submit NOC at counselling stage.
