Eligibility Criteria :
Applicants interested in NPCIL MAPS Apprentice Recruitment 2026 must carefully verify that they meet all prescribed eligibility conditions as on 30/06/2026. This apprenticeship opportunity is intended only for fresh candidates who have not previously completed apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Candidates currently undergoing apprenticeship training or those who discontinued previous apprenticeship programs without completion are not eligible to apply.
Mandatory Registration :
Trade Apprentice candidates must register on the NAPS 2.0 portal, while Diploma and Graduate Apprentice candidates must register on NATS 2.0 before applying.
Trade Apprentice Qualification :
Candidates should possess a full-time ITI qualification in the relevant trade from a recognized institution.
Diploma Apprentice Qualification :
Applicants must hold a full-time Diploma in Engineering/Technology and should have passed within 5 years from the closing date.
Graduate Apprentice Qualification :
Candidates should possess a recognized full-time degree in non-engineering disciplines obtained within the last 5 years.
Previous Apprenticeship Status :
Candidates who have already completed or are currently pursuing apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act are not eligible.
CGPA/Grade Conversion :
Candidates with grading systems must submit an officially authenticated conversion formula from their institution
Aadhaar Requirement :
Aadhaar Card linked with the candidate’s bank account is compulsory.
Police Verification Requirement :
Selection is subject to mandatory police verification due to the security-sensitive nature of the Kalpakkam site.
Medical Standards :
Candidates must satisfy the prescribed medical and physical fitness requirements before engagement.
Age Limit :
Candidates must satisfy the minimum and maximum age requirements applicable to their apprentice category as on 30/06/2026. Reserved category candidates are eligible for relaxation in upper age limit as per Government of India norms.
Trade Apprentice : 18 years-24 years.
Diploma Apprentice : 18 years - 25 years.
Graduate Apprentice (Non-Engineering) : 21 years- 28 years.
Applicable Age Relaxation ;
SC/ST : 5 years.
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) : 3 years.
PwBD : 10 years.
Application Fee :
The official notification does not prescribe any application fee for this apprenticeship recruitment process. Candidates can submit their applications without payment of any registration or examination charges.
Selection Process :
Selection of apprentices will be carried out entirely on the basis of academic merit obtained in the qualifying examination. There will be no written examination or interview process. Final engagement depends upon successful document verification, medical examination, and police clearance.
Stage 1 : Merit-Based Shortlisting ;
Candidates will be shortlisted according to marks secured in ITI, Diploma, or Graduation examinations. Preference in selection will be provided to candidates residing within 16 km radius of the MAPS Kalpakkam plant site.
Tie-Breaking Method
Older candidates will be given preference when marks are equal
If date of birth is also identical, higher marks in Class 10 will be considered
Stage 2 : Verification of Certificates
Shortlisted candidates must produce original certificates along with self-attested photocopies during verification. Any mismatch or false information may lead to immediate cancellation of candidature.
Stage 3 : Medical Fitness Examination ;
Candidates must fulfill NPCIL’s prescribed physical and medical standards to be considered eligible for apprenticeship training.
Stage 4 : Police Clearance Verification ;
Since the MAPS Kalpakkam facility is a restricted area, all selected candidates must submit a valid Police Verification Certificate before commencement of training.
Who Should Not Apply :

Candidates possessing distance education or part-time qualifications.
Applicants who do not meet required medical standards.

How to Apply for NPCIL MAPS Apprentice Recruitment 2026.
Applications must be submitted only through offline mode. Candidates are first required to complete registration on the relevant apprenticeship portal and then send the completed application form by post to NPCIL MAPS Kalpakkam.
Application Procedure :
Step 1: Complete registration on NAPS 2.0 or NATS 2.0 as applicable.
Step 2: Download the prescribed application form from the official NPCIL website.
Step 3: Fill the application form carefully in block letters and affix a recent passport-size photograph.
Step 4: Attach all required self-attested documents.
Step 5: Send the completed application by post before 30/06/2026 to the notified address.

Important Instructions for Candidates :
