Educational Qualification for Level-2 Posts :
Candidates must have passed 12th (+2 stage) or an equivalent examination.
A minimum of 50% aggregate marks is required.
The 50% marks condition is relaxed for ;
SC candidates.
ST candidates.
Ex-Servicemen.
Candidates possessing higher qualifications such as Graduation or Post-Graduation.
For Jr. Clerk cum Typist / Accounts Clerk cum Typist
Candidates must possess typing proficiency of:
30 words per minute in English, or
25 words per minute in Hindi.
For Artisan (Technical Categories) ;
Candidates must have ;
Passed Matriculation (10th) or equivalent.
Possess an ITI certificate from a recognized institution.
A Diploma in Engineering is not accepted as an alternative qualification for these posts.

Educational Qualification for Level-1 Posts :
Candidates must have passed 10th standard from a recognized board.
They must also possess ;
An ITI certificate from an NCVT/SCVT-recognized institution, or
A National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) issued by NCVT.
The eligibility for Level-1 posts is primarily based on technical training through ITI or apprenticeship.

Mandatory Scouts & Guides Qualification :
This recruitment is reserved exclusively for candidates belonging to the Scouts & Guides quota.
Candidates must satisfy all the following conditions ;
Required Qualification ;
Must possess any one of the following ;
President Scout.
President Guide.
Rover.
Ranger.
Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) in any section.

Activeness Requirement :
Must have been an active member of a Scouts organization for the last 5 years, i.e., from 01 April 2019 onwards.
Candidates must submit the original Certificate of Activeness in the prescribed Annexure-C format.
Event Participation Requirement ;
Must have attended ;
Two National Level or All India Railways level events, and
Two State Level events.

Pay Details :
A total of 22 vacancies have been announced under the Scouts & Guides Quota recruitment.
The vacancies are divided into two pay levels under the 7th Pay Commission Pay Matrix.
Each pay level has separate eligibility criteria, age limits, and educational qualifications.
Level-2 Posts (Grade Pay Rs. 1900/-) – 12 Vacancies.
Total vacancies: 12.
Classified under Group 'C' posts.
Placed at Level-2 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
Carry a Grade Pay of Rs. 1,900/-.
Level-1 Posts (Grade Pay Rs. 1800/-) – 10 Vacancies.
Total vacancies: 10.
Belong to the erstwhile Group 'D' category.
Placed at Level-1 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
Carry a Grade Pay of Rs. 1,800/-.

Age Limit (As on 01-07-2026) :
The age limit varies according to the pay level and reservation category.
The cut-off date for calculating age is 01 July 2026.
Candidates must ensure they meet the age criteria applicable to their category before applying.
UR : Level-2 (GP Rs. 1900) 18 to 30 years, Level-1 (GP Rs. 1800) 18 to 33 years.
OBC : Level-2 (GP Rs. 1900) 18 to 33 years, Level-1 (GP Rs. 1800) 18 to 36 years.
SC/ST : Level-2 (GP Rs. 1900) 18 to 35 years, Level-1 (GP Rs. 1800) 18 to 38 years.

Important Note :
Activeness should cover the years ;
2019-20.
2022-23.
2023-24.
2024-25.
2025-26.
Candidates should continue to remain active in Scouts & Guides up to the date of application.

Can You Apply for Both Level-2 and Level-1 Posts :
Yes, eligible candidates can apply for both pay levels.
However, candidates should note the following:
The selection process for Level-2 and Level-1 will be conducted separately.
Separate applications must be submitted for each pay level.
A single combined application will not be accepted.

How This Recruitment Differs From a Regular RRB Recruitment :
This is a quota-based recruitment meant exclusively for Scouts & Guides achievers.
Eligibility depends on ;
Verified Scouts & Guides achievements.
Certificate of Activeness (Annexure-C).
Participation in National and State-level events.
Continuous association with the Scouts & Guides movement.
Unlike regular RRB recruitments ;
Academic qualification alone is not sufficient.
Candidates are not selected solely through a written examination.
Candidates without a valid Scouts & Guides background are not eligible to apply.

Common Mistakes Candidates Should Avoid :
Do not apply without possessing ;
President Scout/Guide certification, or
Rover/Ranger qualification, or
Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB).
Do not forget to obtain the original Certificate of Activeness in the prescribed Annexure-C format.
Do not assume that a Diploma in Engineering is considered equivalent to an ITI certificate for Artisan posts.
If applying for both Level-2 and Level-1 posts, submit two separate applications.
Candidates from general regions should ensure that their applications are submitted before 19-07-2026.
Only candidates belonging to specified remote regions are eligible for the extended closing date of 29-07-2026.
