Eligibility :
Deputy Adviser (Medicinal Plants) :
Candidates should possess a Master's degree in Botany, Pharmacognosy, Agriculture, Agronomy, or Forestry from a recognized University/Institute or an equivalent qualification. They must also have a minimum of ten years of post-qualification experience in the field of medicinal plants, covering areas such as research, development, policy formulation, programme management, and implementation.
Assistant Adviser (Botany) :
Applicants must hold a Master's degree in Botany or Pharmacognosy from a recognized University or an equivalent qualification. In addition, they should have at least five years of professional experience in the development and propagation of medicinal plants, especially those used in Ayurveda, Unani, and Homoeopathy.
Finance & Administrative Officer :
Candidates are required to have five years of experience in dealing with administrative functions, establishment matters, and accounts-related activities.
Research Officer (Botany) :
Applicants should possess a Master's degree in Botany or Pharmacy with Pharmacognosy as the main subject from a recognized University or an equivalent qualification. They must also have two years of experience in identifying medicinal plants and drugs used in various Indian Systems of Medicine.
Assistant Research Officer :
Candidates must have obtained a Master's degree in Science with specialization in Botany, Pharmacognosy, Forestry, Agriculture, Horticulture, Medicinal Plants, Biotechnology, or Pharmacy with Pharmacognosy as the main subject from a recognized University/Institute or an equivalent qualification. They should also be proficient in computer operations.
Accountant :
Applicants should be serving as a Senior Secretariat Assistant (SSA) in the Central Secretariat Clerical Service (CSCS) at Level-4 and must have completed eight years of regular service. They should have successfully completed nine weeks of training in Cash and Accounts or possess an equivalent qualification, along with two years of experience in handling cash, accounts, and budget-related work.
Age Limit :
The upper age limit prescribed for all the above-mentioned posts is 56 years.
Salary :
Deputy Adviser (Medicinal Plants) ;
Selected candidates will receive a salary in the Pay Matrix of Rs. 78,800 - Rs. 2,09,200 under Level-12.
Assistant Adviser (Botany) ;
The post carries a Pay Matrix of Rs. 67,700 - Rs. 2,08,700 in Level-11.
Finance & Administrative Officer ;
Candidates appointed to this post will be placed in the Pay Matrix of Rs. 67,700 - Rs. 2,08,700 under Level-11.
Research Officer (Botany) ;
The salary for this position is Rs. 56,100 - Rs. 1,77,500 as per the Pay Matrix under Level-10.
Assistant Research Officer ;
Selected candidates will receive remuneration in the Pay Matrix of Rs. 35,400 - Rs. 1,12,400 at Level-6.
Accountant ;
The post offers a Pay Matrix of Rs. 35,400 - Rs. 1,12,400 under Level-6.
Selection Process :
The selection for NMPB Various Posts Recruitment 2026 will be conducted through deputation basis. Applications received through the proper channel will first be screened to verify the eligibility criteria, qualifications, and relevant experience of the candidates. Thereafter, the Selection Committee will assess the shortlisted applicants and recommend suitable candidates for appointment.
