Eligibility Criteria :
Eligibility varies based on IDA and CDA pay scales.
Experience and eligibility will be calculated as on 31 May 2026.
The following will not be considered as valid experience ;

Educational Qualification (Post Wise).
DE / JE (Civil / Track).
Must have 3-year Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
Qualification must be from a recognized university/institute.

DE / JE (Electrical) :
Must have 3-year Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering
Must be from a recognized institute.

DE / JE (S&T) :
Must have 3-year Diploma / BE / B.Tech in ;
Electronics.
Electronics & Communication.
Electrical / Electrical & Electronics.
Computer Science / IT.

DE (Rolling Stock) :
Must have 3-year Diploma / BE / B.Tech in ;
Electrical / Electrical & Electronics.
Electronics & Communication.
Electronics & Instrumentation.
Mechatronics.
Additional eligibility (JE level may include) ;

JE (Rolling Stock – Mechanical) :
Must have 3-year Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

DE (Operations) / Train Manager / Station Manager / Depot Controller / Operations Controller "
Must have 3-year Diploma / BE / B.Tech in any discipline.

JE (AFC Systems) :
Must have 3-year Diploma / BE / B.Tech in ;
Computer Science.

Work Experience – Deputy Engineer Grade (21–25/2026) :
IDA Employees.
Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in relevant field.
Relevant fields include ;
Civil / Track maintenance.
Electrical power distribution.
Railway signalling.
Rolling stock maintenance.
OCC operations ;
Must satisfy any one pay condition ;
Pay scale bottom ≥ ₹46,000, OR
2 years in pay scale ≥ ₹40,000, OR
5 years in pay scale ≥ ₹37,000
CDA Employees ;
Minimum 5 years supervisory experience
Must meet:
PB-2 + GP ₹4,200 (Level 6, 7th CPC)
Minimum 4 years Group C service
Deputy Chief Controller (Operations) – Special Condition
CDA employees:
5 years supervisory experience in Rolling Stock & Depot maintenance (not OCC)
IDA employees:
5 years supervisory experience in OCC/Station/Train operations
Minimum 2 years as Traffic Controller in OCC systems

MACP Rule :
MACP promotions are not considered for eligibility.
Only original substantive grade is valid.
Work Experience – Junior Engineer Grade (26–32/2026).
Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience required.
Experience must be in Operations & Maintenance.

Indian Railways
Metro Railways.
Government Railways.
RRTS systems.

Age Limit :
Maximum age: 45 years for all posts.
Age calculated as on 31 May 2026.

Pay Scale (IDA Structure) :
DE / Deputy Chief Controller (21–25/2026).
₹46,000 – ₹1,45,000 (NE-6).
JE / Controller / Station Manager / Train Manager (26–32/2026).
₹40,000 – ₹1,25,000 (NE-4).

Selection Process :
DE Grade (21–25/2026) ;
Computer Based Test (CBT).
Document Verification.
Interview.
Medical Examination.
JE Grade (26–32/2026) ;
Computer Based Test (CBT).
Document Verification.
Medical Examination.

General Conditions :
Interview not applicable for JE posts.
Stages may be modified by management if required.
Communication will be via registered email only.
TA provided only for DE interview outstation candidates.
Medical standards as per IRMM rules.
Additional tests may include Audiometry/Perimetry.

Surety Bond & Service Conditions :
₹3,00,000 surety bond required on joining.
Minimum service: 4 years.
90 days prior resignation notice required.
Training bond (if applicable) ;
Covers training cost + taxes.
Minimum service: 6 years after training.
3 months resignation notice required.
Probation period: 1 year.
Posting anywhere under NHSRCL / MAHSR project.
Controller / Safety Assignment.
Candidates must declare willingness for Controller/Safety roles.
Preference order must be mentioned in application.
Final posting decision lies with NHSRCL.
