MGU Assistant Professor Recruitment 2026

Academic Eligibility Requirements :
Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade under a recognized grading system) in the relevant or allied discipline.

In addition, applicants should have:
Qualified NET conducted by the University Grants Commission / Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, or an equivalent examination such as SLET/SET recognized by UGC;
OR
A Ph.D. degree awarded in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009/2016;
OR
A Ph.D. obtained from a foreign university ranked within the top 500 in internationally recognized rankings, as per UGC norms.

Discipline-Specific Requirements :
School of Education / Pedagogical Sciences: Qualification in Education as per UGC Regulations 2018.
School of Management and Business Studies: Degree in Education or MBA/PGDBA/PGDMA from reputed institutions such as the Indian Institutes of Management or XLRI - Xavier School of Management, preferably with specialization in Operations Management or Business Analytics.
School of Chemistry / Chemical Sciences: Master’s Degree in Chemistry (Desirable: Specialization in Theoretical Chemistry).
School of Social Sciences: History or Sociology.
School of Letters: English.

Application Fee :
General / OBC Candidates: ₹2,000.
SC / ST Candidates: ₹1,000.

Age Criteria :
The upper age limit is 50 years.
Relaxation in the maximum age will be provided as per applicable rules. Regular teachers serving in Universities, Aided Colleges, and Government Colleges in Kerala are eligible for three years’ additional relaxation.

Pay Structure :
The post carries a salary of ₹57,700 per month, as per the applicable pay scale norms.
