MEA Consultant Recruitment 2026

Qualifications for Eligibility :
A graduate degree or above in any subject is required.
The applicant must be an Indian national in order to meet the essential qualification. A graduate or higher degree in any discipline is required of the applicant.
Desired Qualification: Proficiency in HSK levels 4 through 6 of the Chinese language is preferred. publications or articles in reputable journals or magazines that are pertinent.
Experience: Prior job experience addressing foreign policy and international relations issues, particularly those pertaining to China and Chinese party politics. Experience working in the field of foreign policy, international affairs, or China-related topics at a reputable institution, think tank, or research organization may earn extra credit.

Pay and Stipend :
Subject to a maximum of Rs. 12,00,000/- (Rupees Twelve lakh only) per year each, after applicable taxes are deducted, the compensation package shall be commensurate with the experience and profile of the chosen candidate. Throughout the duration of the contract, the fixed consulting fee amount will not fluctuate.
