Eligibility Criteria :
1. Medical Officer (MBBS) – 766 Posts :
MBBS degree from a recognized statutory university or equivalent as per the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
2. Medical Officer (Specialist) – 674 Posts :
Postgraduate Degree or Diploma in the specified specialties (refer official advertisement) from a recognized statutory university or equivalent.
3. Internship :
Must have completed the compulsory internship before the last date of application.
Upload internship completion certificate with the application; applications without it will be rejected.
4. Registration :
Valid Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC) or National Medical Commission (NMC) registration certificate is required.
5. Foreign-Educated Candidates :
Must have cleared the NBE examination and submit the marksheet with the application.
6. Domicile :
Valid Maharashtra Domicile (Adhivas) certificate is mandatory.
Reservation benefits are only for permanent residents of Maharashtra.
7. Other Conditions :
Candidates currently serving as regular Medical Officers (Group-A, S-20) are not eligible.
PG holders in non-notified subjects may apply as plain MBBS candidates with consent.
Application Fee :
Unreserved / General : ₹1,000.
Reserved / EWS / Orphan / PwD : ₹700.
Payment: Online only.
Fee is non-refundable.
Age Limit (as on last date of application) :
Unreserved / OBC (NCL) : 38 years.
Reserved / SC / ST / SEBC / EWS : 43 years.
Sports Person (Unreserved) : 45 years.
Sports Person (Reserved/EWS) : 43 years.
PwD (All categories) : 43 years.
Orphan : 43 years.
Only one maximum relaxation applies if a candidate qualifies under multiple categories.
Salary / Pay Scale :
Pay Level S-20 (7th CPC): ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 per month.
Promotions: Up to Group-A S-23 (₹67,700 – ₹2,08,700) based on qualifications.
Private Practice: Not allowed; eligible for Practice Prohibition Allowance.
Pension: Covered under Contributory Pension Scheme.
Probation: 2 years.
Specialist candidates posted as plain MBBS will not get additional increments at appointment.
