Eligibility Requirements :
The Driver position is open to candidates who possess the necessary educational qualification, valid driving licenses, and practical driving experience required for operating official vehicles. Applicants should be capable of performing driving duties responsibly and must have working knowledge of the Kannada language.
To be eligible for the post, candidates must have passed SSLC (10th Standard) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board. They must hold valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) and Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) driving licenses and possess the prescribed driving experience. Knowledge of Kannada, including the ability to understand and communicate effectively, is mandatory.

Application Fee Details :
Candidates are required to pay the prescribed application fee according to their category while submitting the application. Applications not accompanied by the applicable fee may not be considered.
General : ₹500/-.
SC / ST / OBC / Category-I : ₹250/-.
Applicants should verify the fee payment requirements carefully before submission.

Age Eligibility :
Applicants must satisfy the prescribed age criteria for the Driver post. The minimum age requirement is 18 years, while the upper age limit varies depending on the category of the candidate.
General : 40 Years.
SC / ST / OBC / Category-I : 45 Years.
Candidates claiming age relaxation must produce valid supporting documents issued by the competent authority.

Salary & Service Benefits :
Candidates selected for appointment will be placed in the prescribed pay scale and will receive salary and benefits as per the rules applicable to the post.
Driver : ₹34,100 – ₹67,600.
In addition to the basic pay, employees may be entitled to allowances and other service benefits as admissible under the organization's regulations.

Recruitment Process :
The selection process is intended to assess both the practical driving ability and overall suitability of candidates for the Driver post.
Driving Skill Assessment ;
Candidates will be required to appear for a driving test conducted by the Police Training and Management School. The test will evaluate vehicle handling, road safety practices, driving competence, and adherence to traffic regulations.
Interview ;
Candidates who qualify in the driving test will be considered for an interview. The interview may assess experience, communication skills, knowledge of duties, and overall suitability for the position.
Final Selection ;
The final merit list will be prepared based on performance in the prescribed stages of selection and successful verification of documents.
