Eligibility Criteria :
Candidates must meet all eligibility conditions as on the closing date of online application (03-06-2026). Along with the required educational qualifications, applicants must satisfy the prescribed physical standards and submit a Medical Certificate in the specified format issued by a Government Medical Officer not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon.
Qualifications declared equivalent by Government executive orders or standing orders will also be accepted. However, candidates must produce valid Government orders supporting equivalency whenever required by the Commission.

Educational Qualification :
Academic Qualification : Pass in SSLC or equivalent examination
Technical Qualification : 2-year National/State Trade Certificate in Electrician or Wireman trade from a Government-approved institution.

Physical Standards :
Height ;
Male: 5’2” (157.48 cm).
Female: 4’9” (144.78 cm).
Vision ;
Normal eyesight with no colour blindness.
Physical Fitness ;
Candidates must be fit for outdoor field duties.
Must be able to climb and descend a 9-metre electric pole within 8 minutes.
Practical assessment will be conducted by KPSC during selection.
Medical Certificate ;
Mandatory certificate in prescribed format issued by a Government Medical Officer (Assistant Surgeon or above).

Age Limit :
Candidates must be born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.2008 (both dates inclusive).
Relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government rules, subject to a maximum age limit of 50 years.
General (UR) : 18–40 years.
SC/ST/OBC : Relaxation applicable (max 50 years).

Application Fee :
No application fee is required. Applications can be submitted free of cost through the Kerala PSC OTR portal.
All Candidates: NIL.

Selection Process :
Selection will be conducted in two stages ;
Written / OMR / Online Examination.
Objective-type test based on relevant subjects.
Exam details will be published on the KPSC website.
Practical Test ;
Pole climbing test (9 metres within 8 minutes).
A ranked list will be prepared and will remain valid for 1 to 3 years.

using the One Time Registration (OTR) system.

Instructions :
Complete OTR registration (for new users).
Apply through profile login (for existing users).
Apply for only one district.
Submit exam confirmation within the given timeline.
No application fee required.
Keep a copy of submitted application for reference.

Documents Required :
SSLC / Age proof certificate.
SSLC marksheet and certificate.
Trade Certificate (Electrician/Wireman).
Caste/Community certificate (if applicable).
Medical fitness certificate.
Aadhaar card (if available).
Printout of online application.

Important Instructions :
Only online applications are accepted.
Multiple district applications will lead to rejection.
Ensure correctness of all details before submission.
Valid photograph with name and date must be uploaded.
False information will result in disqualification and disciplinary action.
