Eligibility :
Mandatory for All Applicants : Jammu and Kashmir domicile required (valid Domicile Certificate mandatory).

Foreman : B.E./B.Tech. First Class (Mechanical/Production Engineering) from recognized University.

Junior Stenographer : Graduate + shorthand 65 w.p.m. + typewriting 35 w.p.m. + 6-month Computer Applications certificate.

Workshop Assistant : Matric + National Trade Certificate + 3 years experience (Foundary Smithery/Sheet Metal/Machine Shop/Carpentry/Fitting/Welding).

Accounts Assistant : Graduate (50% open merit / 45% reserved) OR Post-Graduate (50%) OR Ph.D.

Workshop Instructor : Matric + 3-year Diploma in concerned Trade.

Lab. Technician (Civil/CSE) : Diploma (Civil/Computer Engineering) + 5 years experience.

Pharmacist : 10+2 + Diploma (State Medical Faculty) OR Diploma in Pharmacy + 5 years experience.

Junior Assistant : Graduate + typing 40 w.p.m.

Store Keeper : B.Sc. + stores handling experience.

Maintenance Assistant : Matric + National Trade Certificate (Electrical Trade).

Library Assistant : Bachelor of Library Sciences.

Driver : Middle pass + hill roads Commercial licence + 5 years experience.

MTS : Matric (minimum) to 10+2 (maximum).

Note: Grade "B" (3.50–4.49 on 7-point scale) = 55%. Provisional Degree acceptable at application; original required at verification.

Age Limits (as on 01 January 2026) :
General (UR) : 40 years.
SC/ST/ST1/ST2/RBA/EWS/OBC/ALC/IB : 43 years (+3 years).
Physically Challenged : 42 years.
Government/Contractual Employees : 40 years
Ex-Serviceman : 48 years.
University of Jammu Permanent Employees : 50 years.
Minimum age: 18 years for all.
