The U R Rao Satellite Centre (URSC), ISRO, Department of Space has released the official URSC Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notification for the engagement of 410 Graduate Apprentice, Technician Apprentice, and Commercial Practice Apprentice trainees. Candidates must fulfill the prescribed educational and passing-year requirements to participate in the URSC apprenticeship recruitment.

Graduate Apprentice Qualification :
Candidates must possess a B.E./B.Tech. degree in the relevant discipline.
The qualification must be obtained from a recognized university or institution.
The degree must correspond to the discipline for which the candidate is applying.

Technician Apprentice Qualification :Candidates must possess a Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline. The diploma must be awarded by a recognized State Board or institution.

Commercial Practice Apprentice Qualification :Candidates must possess a Diploma in Commercial Practice from a recognized Board or institution.

Passing-Year Requirement :
Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination during 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026.
Candidates who passed the qualifying examination before 2022 are not eligible. Candidates must have completed the qualification as regular students. Sandwich-course candidates, private college degree holders, and candidates having short-term or certificate-course qualifications are not eligible where specifically excluded by the notification. Candidates currently pursuing higher studies are also not eligible.

The apprenticeship training will continue for 12 months from the date of execution of the apprenticeship contract.
The engagement will be governed by the Apprentices Act, 1961, and applicable amendments and rules. Candidates who have already completed or are undergoing apprenticeship training elsewhere are not eligible. Candidates with one year or more of relevant work experience are not eligible where prohibited under the notification.
Candidates who have resigned from or were terminated from previous apprenticeship training are also not eligible. The apprenticeship does not provide any automatic claim for regular employment at URSC, ISRO, or any other Department of Space centre.
Selected candidates must submit a valid Medical Fitness Certificate at the time of joining.

The selection process is primarily based on the candidate's academic performance. Candidates will initially be shortlisted based on their percentage of marks in the relevant qualifying examination. Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification.
Candidates must produce original educational and other supporting documents. After verification, URSC will prepare a merit panel based on academic performance. Apprentices will be inducted against available seats according to their position in the panel.
Selected candidates will receive communication through their registered email ID. No Travelling Allowance will be paid for attending document verification.
