The National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), a major centre of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) under the Department of Space, Government of India, has released the NRSC Recruitment 2026 Notification.
The recruitment has been announced through Advertisement No. NRSC/RMT/1/2026 dated 01 August 2026.
NRSC has invited online applications for various Temporary Research Personnel positions associated with different research and project activities.
The recruitment includes posts such as :
Research Scientist.
Project Associate-I.
Project Associate-II.
Project Scientist-B.
Project Scientist-I.
Junior Research Fellow (JRF).

Research Scientist – 14 Posts :
The Research Scientist vacancies include :
RS20 – 3 Posts: M.E./M.Tech in Civil Engineering with specialisation in Water Resources, Hydrology or Irrigation Water Management, along with B.E./B.Tech in Civil or Agriculture Engineering.
RS21 – 5 Posts: M.E./M.Tech in Remote Sensing & GIS, Geoinformatics or Spatial Information Technology, with B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
RS22 – 2 Posts: M.Sc./M.Sc. Tech/M.Tech in Geology or Applied Geology, with B.Sc. in Geology and compulsory Physics/Mathematics.

Candidates must satisfy the prescribed educational qualification and minimum marks requirements.
Minimum Academic Requirements :
M.E./M.Tech: Minimum 60% marks or CGPA/CPI of 6.5/10.
M.Sc./M.Sc. Tech: Minimum 65% marks or CGPA/CPI of 6.84/10.
B.E./B.Tech: Minimum 65% marks or CGPA/CPI of 6.84/10.
B.Sc.: Minimum 60% marks or CGPA of 6.5/10.

Additional eligibility conditions include :

Selected candidates will receive monthly emoluments according to the post :
Research Scientist : ₹56,100 + HRA + DA.
Project Associate-I : ₹31,000 + HRA.
Project Associate-II : ₹35,000 + HRA.

Project Scientist-B : ₹56,000 + HRA.
JRF : ₹37,000 + HRA.
Project Scientist-B may receive a 5% increment every two years subject to performance review.
JRFs may be upgraded to Senior Research Fellow with emoluments of ₹42,000 after two years, subject to successful performance review.
HRA will be paid at prescribed rates when accommodation is not provided.
