Educational Qualification :
Candidates must possess a valid ITI Certificate (NCVT/SCVT) in the relevant trade from a recognized Industrial Training Institute.
The ITI qualification should be completed on or before the last date of submission of the online application.
Candidates awarded grades under the CGPA system must produce an official certificate issued by their institute for conversion into percentage marks.
Only the qualifications specifically prescribed for each trade will be accepted.
Candidates possessing higher qualifications without the required ITI qualification in the concerned trade will not be considered eligible.

Who Cannot Apply for Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR) Apprentice Recruitment 2026 :
Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 in any Government, PSU or Private organization.
Candidates currently undergoing apprenticeship training in any establishment.

Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR) Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Age Limit 2026 :
Minimum Age: 18 Years.
Maximum Age: 24 Years.
Age will be calculated as on 19 August 2026.
Age Relaxation :
SC/ST Candidates – 5 Years.
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) – 3 Years.
Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) – 10 Years.

Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend as prescribed under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Rules, 2025.
Two-Year ITI Trades: ₹11,040 per month.
One-Year ITI Trades: ₹10,560 per month.
The stipend will be paid throughout the one-year apprenticeship training period.
No additional allowances, DA, HRA or other service benefits will be admissible.

The selection process consists of the following stages :
Shortlisting based on the percentage of marks secured in the ITI examination.
Preparation of a trade-wise merit list.
Document Verification.
Medical Examination.
Execution of Apprenticeship Contract.
Final engagement as Trade Apprentice.
Merit Preparation
Merit will be prepared based on ITI percentage.
In case of a tie :
Higher marks in 10th Standard (or 8th Standard for selected trades) will be considered.
If the tie still continues, the candidate who is older in age will be given preference.
No written examination or interview will be conducted.
