Eligibility Criteria :
Candidates must satisfy all conditions as on 01 June 2026. Only unmarried Indian citizens (male and female) are eligible.

Academic Requirements :
Minimum 60% marks in English in Class X or Class XII.
Minimum 60% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree.

Eligible Qualifications :

(Engineering / Postgraduate Degrees) :
B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech / M.Sc in ;
Computer Science / IT / Computer Engineering.
Cyber Security / Artificial Intelligence / Data Analytics.
Networking / Software Systems / related IT fields.
(MCA Route) :
MCA with ;
BCA or B.Sc (Computer Science / IT).

Additional Conditions :
Final-year students are eligible to apply.
Degree completion with required marks must be submitted before joining.
Foreign degrees are accepted if AIU equivalence is provided.
NCC ‘C’ certificate holders may receive relaxation in shortlisting criteria.

Age Limit :
Candidates must be born between 01 January 2002 and 01 July 2007.
Age eligibility is strictly based on Matriculation certificate.
No relaxation is applicable.

Selection Process :
Selection is conducted in three stages ;
Shortlisting ;
Based on normalized marks in qualifying degree.
No written examination is conducted.
SSB Interview ;
Assessment of Officer Like Qualities (OLQ), intelligence, and personality.
Conducted at designated SSB centres.
Medical Examination ;
Mandatory medical fitness test as per Indian Navy standards.
No relaxation in medical standards is allowed.

Service Conditions :
Entry Type: Short Service Commission (SSC).
Initial tenure: 10 years.
Extension: Up to 14 years (10 + 2 + 2).
Permanent Commission: Not applicable.
Probation period: 2 years from commissioning.
