Research Position – Physics (RA Level) :
Applications are invited from highly motivated and research-oriented candidates for a Research Associate position in Physics. The role is suited for individuals with strong theoretical and experimental expertise in Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics (AMOP) and related advanced research domains.
Essential Qualification :
Ph.D. in Physics or equivalent degree.
Minimum 75% marks or 7.5 CGPA during Ph.D. (graduate level).
Minimum 6.0 CGPA or 60% in M.Sc./B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. coursework.
Relaxation in Marks :
OBC/EWS: 7.0 CGPA or 70%.
SC/ST/PwD: 6.5 CGPA or 65%.
Candidates who have submitted or defended their Ph.D. thesis and are awaiting the final degree are also eligible to apply.
Must have worked for at least one year at RAI/RAIII level.
Desired Expertise & Research Experience :
Candidates should have strong academic and research knowledge in more than one of the following areas at the M.Sc. and Ph.D. level:
Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics (AMOP).
Quantum Mechanics & Quantum Optics.
Electromagnetic Theory.
Electronics (Digital & Analog).
Atomic & Laser Spectroscopy.
Light–Matter Interaction Modelling.
Cold Atom / Warm Vapor Quantum Memories / Repeaters.
Precision Laser Spectroscopy, Laser Cooling, Ion/Atom Trapping.
Technical & Programming Skills (Any One or More).
Python / MATLAB / Mathematica.
VHDL / Verilog.
LabVIEW.
SolidWorks.
COMSOL / ANSYS.
ORCAD / EAGLE.
Finite Element Modelling & Simulation.
Hands-on experimental exposure in AMOP experiments at the Ph.D. level is highly desirable.
Research & Academic Requirements :
At least one original research paper published in an SCI-indexed or peer-reviewed journal (Preference to candidates with multiple SCI publications).
Demonstrated experience in experimental optics and/or atomic & molecular physics.
Strong theoretical ability to model and simulate quantum systems.
Experience in supervising Ph.D./Master’s students is desirable.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with presentations in national/international conferences, workshops, or schools.
Exceptional candidates with a strong theoretical background and outstanding publication record may also be considered, subject to fulfilling eligibility criteria and submission of an additional recommendation letter from previous academic supervisors.

Salary / Stipend :
₹67,000 per month + HRA.
HRA: 9% for Tirupati city (as applicable).
