Junior Technician – Recruitment 2026 :
IIT Guwahati invites applications for the post of Junior Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for technically qualified candidates seeking a government institute position with stable pay and growth prospects.

Eligibility Requirements :
Candidates must meet any one of the following criteria:
Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field, OR
Three-year Diploma in Engineering in the relevant discipline, OR
ITI Certificate in the relevant trade with minimum 3 years of relevant experience

Specific Requirement for Current Vacancy :
ITI Certificate in Electrician Trade.
At least 3 years of experience in operation and maintenance of electrical substations and DG sets.
Knowledge of computer applications is essential.

Age Criteria :
Maximum Age: 27 years (as on 09 March 2026)

Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen as per Government of India norms.
No upper age limit for regular employees of IIT Guwahati.

Pay Scale :
Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Matrix Level 3 under the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC), along with admissible allowances as per institute rules.
