ICAR KVK Recruitment 2026

Eligibility Criteria :

Senior Scientist-cum-Head :
Doctoral degree in the relevant discipline, including allied basic sciences.
Minimum 8 years of professional experience as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist or in an equivalent role in Pay Band-3 (₹15,600–39,100) with Grade Pay of ₹5,400/6,000/7,000/8,000.
Demonstrated contribution in research, teaching, or extension activities, evidenced through publications, innovations, and measurable impact.

Subject Matter Specialist (SMS) – Soil Science :
Master’s degree in Soil Science or any related branch of Agriculture/Science/Social Science from a recognized university.
Desirable: Ph.D. or NET qualification in the relevant subject.
Preference will be given to candidates with at least 2 years of experience in KVK or similar extension work.

Application Fee :
General / OBC : ₹1000/-.

Age Limit :
Senior Scientist-cum-Head: Maximum 47 years.
Subject Matter Specialist (SMS): Maximum 35 years.
Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government of India rules.

Salary :
Senior Scientist-cum-Head: Level-13A (₹1,31,400 – ₹2,17,100) as per 7th CPC / ICAR norms.
SMS (Soil Science): Level-10 (₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500) as per 7th CPC / ICAR norms.
