Educational Qualification :

Assistant Superintendent Jail (Cat. No. 1 & 2) :
Must possess a Graduation degree from a recognized university or equivalent qualification.
Hindi or Sanskrit should have been studied in Matriculation or higher education.

Prison Warder (Cat. No. 3 & 4) :
Must have passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) or equivalent from a recognized board.
Hindi or Sanskrit should have been studied in Matriculation or higher education.

Physical Standards :

Male Candidates (General Category) :
Minimum height: 170 cm.
Chest measurement: 83 cm (unexpanded) and 87 cm (expanded).

Male Candidates (Reserved Categories) :
Minimum height: 168 cm.
Chest measurement: 81 cm (unexpanded) and 85 cm (expanded).

Female Candidates (General Category) :
Minimum height: 158 cm.

Female Candidates (Reserved Categories) :
Minimum height: 156 cm.

Physical Endurance Test (PET) :
The PET is qualifying in nature and carries no marks.
Candidates must first clear the Physical Measurement Test (PMT).

Qualifying Standards :
Male candidates: 2.5 km run in 12 minutes.
Female candidates: 1 km run in 6 minutes.
Ex-Servicemen: 1 km run in 5 minutes.

Age Limit :
Assistant Superintendent Jail ;
Minimum age: 21 years.
Maximum age: 27 years.
Reserved categories are eligible for 5 years of age relaxation as per Haryana Government rules.
Prison Warder ;
Minimum age: 18 years.
Maximum age: 25 years.
Reserved categories are eligible for 5 years of age relaxation.

Fill out the Detailed Application Form (DAF) carefully.
Upload all required documents in the prescribed format.
Select post preferences carefully, as changes will not be allowed later.

Download and keep a copy of the submitted form for future use.

Post preferences once submitted cannot be modified.

Selection Process :
Stage 1: CET Screening ;
Candidates must qualify CET with prescribed minimum marks.
Up to ten times the number of vacancies are shortlisted based on CET merit.
Stage 2: Physical Test ;
Physical Measurement Test (PMT) is conducted first.
Qualified candidates appear for the Physical Endurance Test (PET).
PET is qualifying in nature.
Stage 3: Written Examination ;
OMR-based written examination.
Minimum qualifying marks ;
General Category: 50%.
Reserved Categories: 40%.
Stage 4: Merit List ;
Merit is prepared category-wise.
Older candidates are given preference in case of a tie.
If age is also the same, CET Phase-I marks are considered.
Stage 5: Document Verification ;
Original documents are verified by the appointing department before appointment.

Reservation Policy :
DSC and OSC reservations are implemented as per Haryana Government instructions.
BC-A and BC-B reservation is available only for Haryana domiciles belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer.
EWS candidates are eligible for 10% reservation subject to prescribed income and asset criteria.
Ex-Servicemen reservation is provided horizontally with priority-based allocation.
Dependent of Freedom Fighter (DFF) category receives benefits against eligible vacant posts.

Documents Required :
Mandatory Documents ;
Educational certificates from Matriculation onwards.
Recent passport-size coloured photograph.
Scanned signature.
Undertaking as per Annexure-V.
Category-Specific Documents ;
Caste certificate and Haryana domicile certificate for reserved categories.
EWS certificate issued after the prescribed date.
Ex-Serviceman discharge certificate.
Disability and eligibility certificates for family members of disabled ESM.
Freedom Fighter dependency certificate, if applicable.

Common Reasons for Application Rejection :
Submission of multiple applications for the same post.
Incomplete or offline application.
Failure to meet educational qualifications.
Absence of Hindi/Sanskrit qualification.
Not satisfying age criteria.
Mismatch between uploaded documents and application details.
Failure to upload mandatory certificates.
