Educational Qualification :

Electrical :
B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.

Civil :
B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.

Human Resource :
Graduation in HR/Personnel, or
Graduation in any discipline with MBA in HR/Personnel.

Finance & Accounts :
CA, ICWA, M.Com, or MBA in Finance from a recognized University/Institute.

Law :
Graduation in Law from a recognized University/Institute.

Information Technology :
B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc/M.Sc in Computer Science or IT, or
BCA/MCA from a recognized University/Institute.

Management Studies :
BBA, BMS, or B.Com in Management Studies, or
Graduation in any discipline with M.Com/MBA in Management Studies.

Social Science :
Graduate or Post-Graduate in ;
Social Work.
Sociology.
Rural Development.
Social Sciences.
Public Administration.
Hydro Engineering
Degree in Hydro Engineering, or
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.
Important Notes ;
Candidates who obtained qualifications through Distance Learning, Part-Time, or Correspondence mode are not eligible.
CGPA/OGPA/Letter Grades must be converted into equivalent percentage as per University/Institute norms.

Age Limit :
Minimum Age: 18 years.
Maximum Age: 30 years.
Age will be calculated as on 31 May 2026.
SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/PwD candidates are eligible for 5 years age relaxation.
Educational qualification and age must be fulfilled as on 31 May 2026.
Candidates awaiting final results are not eligible to apply.

Stipend and Other Terms of the Apprenticeship :
Monthly Stipend: Rs. 12,300/-.
Training Duration: One year.
No extension of apprenticeship will be granted.
No accommodation facility will be provided.
No additional benefits such as ;
HRA.
Conveyance Allowance.
Medical Facilities.
HPSEBL is not obligated to provide regular employment after completion of training.
Candidates who ;
Have already undergone apprenticeship training, or
Have one year or more work experience after obtaining the required qualification,
are not eligible.
Training Locations Across Himachal Pradesh
Women apprentices will be engaged at the following locations ;
Shimla.
Solan.
Nahan.
Rampur.
Rohru.
Dharamshala.
Kangra.
Dalhousie.
Dehra.
Hamirpur.
Una.
Bilaspur.
Mandi.
Kullu.
Sundernagar.

Important Points :
Shimla has the highest number of apprenticeship seats.
Smaller stations mainly have vacancies in the Electrical discipline.
Candidates can select up to three training locations in order of preference.
Station allotment will depend on ;
Merit rank.
Candidate preference.
Availability of seats.
If no preference is provided, the station may be allotted randomly.

Selection Process :
Selection is based entirely on academic merit.
Weightage of Marks ;
Matriculation (10th): 20%.
10+2/Diploma (whichever is higher): 20%.
Essential Qualification: 60%.
Total: 100 Marks.
Merit List ;
Separate merit lists will be prepared for each discipline.
In case of equal marks ;
Older candidate will be ranked higher.
If age is also the same, higher Matriculation marks will be considered.
Document Verification ;
Candidates will be shortlisted in a 1:4 ratio for each seat.
Original certificates and testimonials must be produced.
False information will lead to cancellation of candidature.
A Medical Fitness Certificate is mandatory before joining.

Modify eligibility conditions.
Divert vacant seats to other disciplines.
Cancel the recruitment process at any stage.
The decision of HPSEBL Management will be final and binding.
