Educational Qualification :
Applicants must have successfully completed both ;
10th / SSC / HSC (regular full-time), and
ITI under the Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS) in a relevant trade.
Both qualifications must be obtained from recognized institutes located in Odisha only.

Domicile Requirement :
Only candidates who are permanent residents of Odisha are eligible.
Educational qualifications (10th and ITI) must also be completed within Odisha.

Prior Apprenticeship Restriction :
Candidates will be considered ineligible if they ;
Have already completed an apprenticeship earlier.
Are currently undergoing any apprenticeship training.
Are registered under any active NAPS apprenticeship contract anywhere in India.

Work Experience Criteria :
Candidates with 1 year or more of work experience in any field are not eligible.
The scheme is strictly intended for freshers only.

NAPS Portal Registration Requirement :
Registration as a “Candidate” on the official NAPS portal is mandatory ;

The candidate profile must be fully completed (100%) before applying.
Personal details (Name, Gender, Date of Birth) must exactly match the 10th certificate to avoid rejection.

Age Criteria (as on 30-06-2026) :
General (UR) : 23 years.
OBC : 26 years.
SC / ST : 28 years.
PwBD (≥40% disability) : 33 years.

Stipend & Benefits :
₹9,600 or ₹10,560 per month (based on trade and Apprenticeship Rules 2025).
Additional Benefits ;
Subsidized meals available in factory canteen during working days.
Hostel accommodation may be provided depending on availability.
Completion of apprenticeship does not guarantee permanent employment in HAL.

Selection Procedure :
Selection is purely merit-based, with no written test or interview.
Merit Calculation ;
10th marks → 70% weightage.
ITI marks → 30% weightage.
Candidates are shortlisted based on combined merit and called for document verification via email.

Ineligibility Conditions (Do NOT Apply if you fall under any) :
Candidates are not eligible if they ;
Have educational qualifications outside Odisha.
Have already undergone or are undergoing apprenticeship training.
Have 1 or more years of work experience.
Exceed the prescribed age limit.
Have incomplete or incorrect NAPS registration details.
Do not hold CTS-based ITI certification.
Expect permanent employment after apprenticeship.
Have PwBD disability below 40% (for PwBD category applicants).

Important Application Guidelines / Common Errors. :
Applicants should carefully avoid the following mistakes ;
Not completing 100% NAPS registration before applying.
Mismatch between Aadhaar, NAPS profile, and 10th certificate details.
Missing mandatory documents such as mark sheets and certificates.
Incorrect entry of academic marks.
Not providing a valid and active email ID.
Applying despite not meeting Odisha domicile requirement.
Delaying postal submission, leading to late delivery after deadline.
Forgetting to clearly mention “NAPS APPLICATION” on the envelope.

Fill out the prescribed application form carefully, ensuring accurate entry of all academic details and category information (if applicable).
Step 3: Attach Documents ;
Include self-attested copies of ;
10th/SSC mark sheet.
ITI NCVT certificate.
Consolidated ITI marksheets.
Caste/EWS certificate (if applicable).
Disability certificate (if applicable).
Step 4: Envelope Labeling ;
Clearly write “NAPS APPLICATION” on the top of the envelope.
Step 5: Submission ;
