Eligibility :
Candidates must satisfy all required eligibility rules as of 05/07/2026, which is the closing date for applications. All supporting documents such as educational certificates, age proof, caste certificates, and experience records must be valid and available at the time of application and verification.

Nationality Requirement :
Applicants must belong to one of the following categories ;
Indian citizen, OR
Eligible persons from Nepal, Bhutan, Tibetan refugees (pre-1962), or individuals from specified countries who have permanently settled in India.
Non-citizens must produce a valid government-issued eligibility certificate.

Health and Vision Standards :
Candidates are required to have normal eyesight without defects. Conditions such as colour blindness or any visual impairment that affects driving ability are not permitted.

Academic Qualification Requirement :
Applicants must have successfully completed ;
Higher Secondary (10+2) education, OR
An equivalent qualification recognized by authorities, including certain diplomas, ITI courses, and polytechnic programs with proper equivalence approval.

Computer Literacy Requirement :
Candidates must demonstrate basic computer knowledge through ;
Government-approved computer certification, OR
Formal computer education (degree/diploma), OR
School-level computer subject in Std. 10 or 12.

Driving Licence & Badge Requirement :
A valid heavy vehicle driving licence is compulsory. Additionally ;
PSV badge is mandatory at the time of application.
Licence must be issued by RTO and in smart card format.
Minimum validity and experience conditions apply for eligibility.

Professional Driving Experience :
Applicants must have verified heavy vehicle driving experience after obtaining their licence ;
Minimum 4 years for male candidates.
Experience must be certified by a registered employer or transport agency.
Female candidates may be considered even without experience after mandatory training.

Physical Eligibility Standards :
Candidates must meet minimum height requirements measured using official government equipment ;
Male (General): 162 cm.
Male (ST): 160 cm.
Female: 158 cm.

Reservation Eligibility Rules :
Reservation benefits apply only to candidates who are domiciles of Gujarat. Candidates from other states are not eligible for any reserved category benefits.

Age Eligibility Criteria :
Age is calculated based on 05/07/2026.
General category: up to 35 years (male), 40 years (female).
Reserved categories: extended upper limits based on government relaxation rules.
Ex-servicemen: eligible up to 45 years.
No candidate can exceed 45 years under any condition.

Application Fee Structure :
Candidates must pay the application fee online only ;
General category: ₹300 + GST.
Reserved categories: ₹200 + GST.
The fee is non-refundable under all circumstances.

Recruitment Methodology :
Selection is carried out through a two-stage evaluation ;
Written examination (OMR-based).
Practical driving test.
Final selection is determined using weighted scoring from both stages.

Written Examination :
The written test evaluates basic knowledge and aptitude ;
100 questions to be completed in 60 minutes.
No minimum qualifying mark, but zero score disqualifies candidates.
Negative marking applies for incorrect answers.
Exam conducted primarily in Gujarati language.

Driving Skill Assessment :
Shortlisted candidates undergo a practical driving evaluation ;
Conducted at official training centres.
Scored out of 50 marks.
Minimum passing requirement is 35 marks.
Performance directly affects final merit ranking.

Final Selection Method :
Final merit is prepared using a combined scoring system ;
Written test contributes 40%.
Driving test contributes 60%.
Candidates are ranked based on total weighted score.

Verification and Medical Clearance :
Selected candidates must undergo document verification and medical fitness examination. Final appointment is confirmed only after successful clearance of both stages.

Ineligibility Conditions :
Candidates will be disqualified if they ;
Do not hold valid heavy vehicle licence or PSV badge.
Fail to meet physical or vision standards.
Provide incorrect or invalid experience details.
Lack required documents at verification stage.
Attempt to misuse reservation benefits from other states.

Application Errors to Avoid :
Common mistakes leading to rejection include ;
Submitting multiple applications with inconsistent details.
Uploading invalid or oversized photo/signature.
Entering experience before licence issuance.
Skipping final confirmation step.
Failing to pay application fee.

Applications must be submitted online through the official recruitment portal ;
OJAS Portal.
The process includes form filling, document upload, confirmation, and fee payment.
