GESCOM Recruitment 2026

Eligibility Criteria :
Applicants must ensure they meet all eligibility requirements as on the closing date of application. Only candidates who have completed their BE / Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering after January 2022 are eligible to apply for the 2026–27 apprenticeship programme.
The qualification must be obtained from a Government-recognized, Government-aided, or State/Central Government approved institution. Candidates should have the ability to read and write Kannada, and preference will be given to candidates belonging to Karnataka State.
Candidates who are currently undergoing apprenticeship training in any organization, already employed elsewhere, or have previously completed apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act, 1961 are not eligible. Candidates with disabilities are also not eligible. Only physically fit candidates will be considered for selection.

Educational Qualification :

BE Apprentice (Electrical & Electronics) : BE / B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering from a recognized university or Government-aided institution. Qualification must be obtained after January 2022. Both degree and provisional certificate holders are eligible.

Diploma Apprentice (Electrical) : 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized State/Central Government polytechnic or institution. Qualification must be obtained after January 2022. Diploma certificate holders are eligible.
Additional Requirement: Ability to read and write Kannada is desirable. Preference will be given to candidates from Karnataka State.

Stipend Details :
Engineering Graduates (BE/B.Tech) : ₹9,000/- per month.
Diploma Holders : ₹8,000/- per month.
Note: Apprentices will not be provided any accommodation, food, or additional financial benefits during the training period. Completion of apprenticeship does not guarantee employment or future absorption in GESCOM.

Selection Process :
Selection will be conducted purely on a merit basis, based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination (BE/Diploma).
There will be no written test or interview. Shortlisting will be done strictly based on academic performance in the relevant qualification.

Application Procedure :
Applications must be submitted offline only, either by post or in person. Online submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances.

Last date for receipt of applications: 05-06-2026 (up to 5:00 PM).
Applications received after the deadline will be rejected.
Envelope must clearly mention ;
“For 2026–27 Apprenticeship Training – BE / Diploma Holder”.

Documents Required :
Candidates must submit self-attested copies of the following documents ;
SSLC (10th) marks card.
PUC (12th) marks card.
All semester marks cards (BE/Diploma).
Degree / Diploma Certificate or Provisional Certificate.
Caste Certificate (if applicable).
Medical fitness certificate (where applicable).
Character certificates from two Gazetted Officers.
Three recent passport-size photographs.
Self-addressed envelope (4x9 inch) with ₹25 postal stamp.

Important Instructions :
Only candidates who passed BE/Diploma after January 2022 are eligible.
Knowledge of Kannada is required; Karnataka candidates will be preferred.
Candidates with disabilities are not eligible.
Candidates already employed or undergoing apprenticeship elsewhere are not eligible.
Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act, 1961 are not eligible.
Application envelope must clearly indicate the apprenticeship category.
Incomplete applications or missing documents will be rejected without review.
No communication will be entertained after submission.
Apprenticeship training does not guarantee employment in GESCOM.
