Interview Schedule :

06 July 2026 (Monday): Interview will be conducted for the departments of Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pathology, Microbiology, and Radiology.

07 July 2026 (Tuesday): Interview will be held for Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, and Surgery departments.

08 July 2026 (Wednesday): Candidates from Community Medicine, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine, Accident & Emergency, ICU, and Psychiatry will attend the interview.

09 July 2026 (Thursday): Interview is scheduled for Chest Medicine, Dermatology, Anesthesiology, ENT, Dental, and Eye departments.

Eligibility Criteria :

Educational Qualification :
Educational qualifications for all posts will be determined according to the latest NMC/MCI guidelines.
Candidates must possess the required MBBS/MD/MS/DNB or equivalent qualifications relevant to the post and department they are applying for.
Applicants currently working in Government, Autonomous, or Statutory Institutions are eligible to apply.
Retired professors and currently serving professors can also apply if they meet the eligibility requirements.

Age Limit :
Candidates applying for Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor posts should not be more than 67 years of age as on 29 June 2026.
Candidates applying for Senior Resident and Tutor/Demonstrator posts should not exceed 45 years of age as on 29 June 2026.
Age relaxation will be provided to eligible reserved category candidates as per Government of India rules.
Teaching faculty may continue on contractual engagement up to 70 years of age, subject to fulfilling other prescribed conditions.

Application Fee :
Candidates belonging to SC/ST, Female, PH/PwBD, Defence Ex-Servicemen, and ESIC Regular Employee categories are exempted from paying any application fee.
Candidates belonging to all other categories are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 500/-.
The fee should be paid only through a Demand Draft drawn in favor of "ESI Fund A/c No.-1", payable at Surat.
Application fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
Candidates should ensure their eligibility before preparing the Demand Draft.

Selection Process :
The recruitment process does not include a written examination.
Selection will be based on Document Verification followed by a Personal Interview.
Candidates must report between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM on their scheduled interview date for document verification.
Only candidates whose documents are verified successfully will be allowed to appear for the interview on the same day.
Final results will be published on the official ESIC recruitment website.
Appointment letters will be sent to selected candidates through their registered email IDs.
Selected candidates must join the institute as per the instructions mentioned in the appointment order.

Salary :
Professor: Selected candidates will receive a fixed basic pay of Rs. 1,23,100/- under Pay Level 13 along with applicable allowances.
Associate Professor: The fixed basic pay is Rs. 78,800/- under Pay Level 12.
Assistant Professor: Candidates will receive Rs. 67,700/- as fixed basic pay under Pay Level 11.
Senior Resident: The fixed basic pay is Rs. 67,700/- under Pay Level 11.
Tutor/Demonstrator: Selected candidates will receive Rs. 56,100/- under Pay Level 10.
Additional allowances will be governed by ESIC Headquarters guidelines and future amendments.
Non-medical officers are not eligible for Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA).

Security Deposit and Refund Terms :
All selected candidates are required to submit a Security Deposit of Rs. 20,000/- through Demand Draft at the time of joining.
The Demand Draft should be drawn in favor of "ESI Fund A/c No. 1", payable at Surat.
The security deposit will be refunded after successful completion of the contract period and submission of a No Dues Certificate.
Candidates who resign within six months of joining may forfeit the security deposit, except in exceptional circumstances approved by the competent authority.

Terms of Contractual Engagement :
The appointment is purely contractual and does not confer any right to permanent government employment.
Selected candidates will not be entitled to benefits such as Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Allowance, Medical Benefits, Seniority, or Promotion.
Candidates wishing to resign must give one month's advance notice or deposit an amount equivalent to one month's salary.
Unauthorized absence for more than seven days will be treated as voluntary abandonment of service and may result in termination.
Attendance must be marked through both the manual attendance register and the Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS).
Hostel accommodation or staff quarters may be provided subject to availability; however, it cannot be claimed as a matter of right.
Private practice in any form is strictly prohibited during the contract period.

Required Documents for Verification :
Candidates must bring the Class 10th certificate as proof of date of birth.
All MBBS mark sheets, attempt certificates, and degree certificates should be produced in original along with photocopies.
Candidates possessing MD/MS/DNB or equivalent qualifications must carry all relevant mark sheets and degree certificates.
Reserved category candidates should carry valid SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwBD certificates in the prescribed Central Government format.
A valid State Medical Council or NMC Registration Certificate is mandatory.
Candidates should carry proof of publications and work experience certificates, if applicable.
Recent passport-size photographs must be brought for verification purposes.
Candidates employed elsewhere should produce a Relieving Certificate or No Objection Certificate (NOC).
Aadhaar Card must be carried as identity proof.
Certificates related to Biomedical Research Course and Medical Education Workshop, if available, should also be submitted.

How to Apply :
Download the prescribed offline application form attached with the official notification.
Fill out the application form carefully with accurate personal and educational details.
Attach self-attested copies of all required documents along with the application form.
Prepare the Demand Draft of the applicable fee, if required.
Candidates must report personally to the Office of the Dean, ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Near New Civil Hospital, Majura Gate, Civil Char Rasta, Surat, Gujarat - 395001.
Reporting time is 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on the interview date allotted to the respective department.
Submit the completed application form and documents to the Document Verification Committee.
Only candidates whose documents are verified successfully will be allowed to appear for the interview.
Separate applications and separate fees are required for each post applied for.
No Travelling Allowance (TA) or Dearness Allowance (DA) will be provided for attending the interview.

Common Mistakes to Avoid :
Do not report after 10:00 AM, as late candidates will not be allowed to participate.
Ensure that the application is submitted only in the prescribed offline format.
Reserved category candidates should verify that their certificates are valid and in the Central Government format.
Carry all original documents along with photocopies; photocopies alone will not be accepted.
Do not assume that submitting the application guarantees an interview opportunity.
Candidates applying for multiple posts should submit separate applications and supporting documents for each post.
Verify eligibility according to the latest NMC/MCI norms before attending the interview to avoid disqualification.
