Candidates must satisfy the educational qualifications and other eligibility conditions prescribed by DRDO SSPL.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) :
Applicants must possess any one of the following qualifications :
Postgraduate Degree (M.Sc. or equivalent) in Physics or Electronics with First Division and a valid NET qualification, or
B.E./B.Tech in Engineering Physics or Electronics with First Division and NET/GATE qualification, or
M.E./M.Tech with First Division at both Graduate and Postgraduate levels.

Research Associate (RA) :
Candidates should possess any one of the following :
Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Physics or Electronics, or
M.E./M.Tech with three years of research experience in Semiconductor Materials, Device Fabrication, and Characterization, along with at least one publication in a Science Citation Index (SCI) journal.
Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis are also eligible, provided they obtain the degree or provisional certificate before the fellowship offer is issued.

DRDO Solid State Physics Laboratory (SSPL) Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Research Associate (RA) Recruitment 2026 Age Limit :
The upper age limit varies according to the fellowship.
Junior Research Fellow :
Maximum Age: 28 Years.

Selected candidates will receive a monthly fellowship as prescribed by DRDO.
Monthly Fellowship :

The fellowship will continue subject to the availability of project funds and up to the Probable Date of Completion (PDC) of the concerned DRDO project.
