DRDO DG(Aero) Recruitment 2026

Eligibility Criteria :
Candidates must meet all conditions strictly by the application deadline (05-06-2026). This opportunity is open only to Indian citizens, and applicants who are pursuing or have completed studies outside India are not eligible. The internship duration is fixed, and candidates must be available for a continuous 6-month engagement without interruption.

Academic Requirements :
Eligible applicants should be ;
Final year Undergraduate (UG) students, or
Postgraduate (PG) students from recognized programs in Engineering or Science streams.
Academic Eligibility Standards ;
Minimum CGPA required: 6.5 or above.
UG applicants must possess the 6th semester marksheet.
PG applicants must possess the 2nd semester marksheet.
If Final Results Are Pending ;
UG: Performance will be assessed based on 4th and 5th semester average marks.
PG: 1st semester marks may be used for preliminary evaluation.
However, at the time of joining:
UG 6th semester / PG 2nd semester marksheet is compulsory.
Failure to provide will result in cancellation of selection.

Internship Tenure :
The internship is designed for a fixed term of 6 months, and candidates must ensure uninterrupted participation throughout the entire duration.

Nationality Condition :
Only individuals holding Indian citizenship are eligible. Students enrolled in foreign universities or studying outside India are not permitted to apply.

Stipend Structure :
Selected interns will receive a total financial support of ₹30,000, disbursed in two phases ;
First Installment : ₹15,000 After 3 months of completion.
Second Installment : ₹15,000 After successful completion of 6 months.
Total : ₹30,000 Full completion required.
Candidates who discontinue early will not be issued an internship certificate.

Selection Method :
Candidates will be shortlisted based on ;
Availability of seats in DRDO laboratories.
Academic performance and details provided in the application.
Shortlisted applicants will be informed through email, and final allocation of lab and project area will depend on laboratory requirements and guide availability.
Participation in the internship does not guarantee any future employment with DRDO.

Key Instructions for Interns :
Only Indian nationals are eligible; overseas students are not allowed.
Minimum CGPA of 6.5 is mandatory for consideration.
Full 6-month participation is compulsory; early exit leads to no certificate.
Separate applications must be submitted for different labs.
Police verification is required before joining.
Electronic devices like laptops, mobiles, smartwatches, and USB devices are not permitted inside labs.
Minimum presence of 15 days per month is required at the lab.
Progress report must be submitted after 3 months and final report at completion.
College must certify that attendance will not be affected during internship (except exams).
Interns must not publicly represent or mention DRDO labs on social media.
Any false information will result in immediate disqualification.
Final decisions by DRDO labs are binding and non-contestable.
